She thrust her weapon at me again, but it was slower than I expected.
Her balance was off, her strength clearly diminished, and it seemed that even she wasn't fully adjusted to this new body. I casually caught the haft of her harpoon mid-strike, holding it in place as she struggled to pull it free.
"You might want to rethink your strategy," I said, grinning with a playful smug.
Her eyes narrowed, and with a furious grunt, she let go of the weapon entirely, diving forward to tackle me instead.
She caught me off guard, slamming into my chest with surprising force for someone of her size. We both crashed into the oily sea, the dark water swirling around us as we struggled against each other.
