Chapter 1 - Ch 1. How it all began

On a massive wood carved desk a bulky middle-aged man wearing a pair of glasses started sighing while starting to soak a delicate feather in ink. Approaching a empty book with a rather simple and exquisite cover he starts writing delicate and slow.

"To our descendants I leave this journal to strengthen our family beliefs and in the future may our way never be obscured by the evil the wicked and by greed.

I shall start with the history of our dear world Laskarn a magical world filled with wonders. As we all know a lot of wars calamities and misfortunes ran trough it. In the eastern continent 5 thousand years of blood and fire ruined the it's very foundation until Askarim Lacidus the founding emperor of the great Laskaya empire came and stopped the never ending fight.

Fallowing an era of peace and prosperity the people named the eastern continent Askarim to never forget the great act and benevolence of the emperor that saved them from famine and never ending blood spilling.

On the western continent people started losing hope without great fertile lands and the spreading of corruption of the dark not even the whether was on their favor as hurricanes, earthquakes, and occasional volcano eruption where ravaging the occasionally. Everything looked hopeless as everybody awaited their end. The great protector god of light took mercy on them and sent his guardian dragon to help them. Fallowing the word of the great god and strengthening their beliefs the church of Hiereclis was founded and a great conquest against the demonic energies started. Empowered with divine power the soil became fertile the corruption was stopped and the nature calmed. After the people named the lands as Hiereclis property and the western continent became the holy Hiereclis continent

In the deep north an eternal frozen land was offering not so great life condition for it's people as the frigid cold made farming impossible and the great monsters of the ice made hunting a meeting with death every second. As the chances of survival started to look grim a new hero arose Baltain Lord of the Frost with monstrous talent and strength fought securing a safe heaven for it's people.

The little safe heaven was named after it's ruler and later the continent became the north continent of Baltain.

Many generations of heroes fallowed but none came close to their accomplishments. Our story starts in the eastern continent of Askarim. The giant empire of Laskaya still rules all over the continent having 43 subordinate kingdoms, 30 lower kingdoms 10 intermidiate and 3 top kigdoms.

In the lower kingdom Lusha the destiny was smiling to the little town of Behem. John Milican a little blacksmith apprentice was hammering while droplets of sweats were falling down. The young men was left as an orphan after their village suffered at the claws of a pack of hurricane wolfs, reinforcement from the town came in the end but it could only save some remaining survivors.

They took the survivors to Behem and so John was raised in a little orphanage and now at 13 years old he took the job of an blacksmith apprentice. Our passionate young man wants to become an aura knight but he needs to pay the entrance fee to the knights academy if he could be considered talented his expenses could be covered by a scholarship.

Rowan his master came in watching over john and sighing:

-You started early again, John we all can see you all aftern-noon and evening swinging your sword then you come first thing here. Your body needs a little rest don't you think?

-Thank you master Rowan but I only have 3 years before I can apply to the knights academy there is no way that I can slack off because I'm a little tired.

-John resting it's also a part of you growing, If you can't use your strength to fullest because you are tired what meaning it has to be trained?

-Take the day off no refuses accepted and if I find you training I will stop your apprenticeship.

With an ultimatum given John let's the hammer down his hand and starts walking to the exit of the blacksmith shop.

Rowan remained watching the young's man back at the front desk thinking about his rashness

Rowan:

- I can understand that you are frustrated to become strong after your village got destroyed and your parents sacrificed for your life, but destroying yourself over that is no way of solving it.

John left to his accommodation at his little orphanage, entering the door the nanny looking surprised said

-Not working today John?

-Master Rowan insisted that I should take a break so he sent me home mother Elisa

In the little orphanage 3 women were taking care of the 13 children there, John considered all of them as his mothers being raised for 10 years made them irreplaceable in John's heart

-That's really thoughtful of him, then can you help me prepare the meal?

-Sure mother.

John and Elisa started working in the kitchen as the lunch was coming.

After that John played with his little brothers and sisters he was the third oldest in this orphanage he only got 2 older brothers. Michael Rajin who already got accepted as apprentice knight at the academy and the oldest Richard Nevron who didn't got accepted but as he was also an orphan of a ruined village he took the way of the Adventurer and started venturing to get stronger facing death daily. Even though conflict with humans was no problem as the Laskaya empire ruled strong and righteous the neighboring forests seas and deserts were unconquerable as fierce beast more than can be numbered inhabited them. And the biggest problem now is fighting over land with them. Every continent has it's circumstances the western continent Hiereclis now has a war incoming between the light Church of Hiereclis and the Demon realm. The northern continent Baltain has a situation similar with Askarim as they also are fighting over land.

After a peaceful passing day the evening was slowly coming and the dinner was served some time later. After having his day off John felt energized the laughs of his little brothers and sisters made him forget a little of his goal and made him think that getting a little time off sometimes wasn't that bad. It was unfortunate that he couldn't see his older brothers because they were mostly training he wanted to show them his progress and listen to their story which were his favorite thing when he was younger.

As night was slowly falling John tucked in this blanket was thinking.

Ok, now that I am well rested I'm going to double my effort from tomorrow and make everybody at academy awed by my talent. Father, Mother your son won't make you disappointed in this life and will become a person worthy that can protect the weak and it's friends. I hope that you can continue watching over me.

And with these thoughts John fell asleep. New unexpected things were coming his way that he could not have believed if he didn't live trough them.
