KAVEESHA'S POV
The tension in the office was exactly what we needed to flush out anyone even thinking of betraying Armand Inc. After Armand stormed out of the conference room, the atmosphere was thick with fear. I stayed seated, watching everyone's reaction. I loved it—the way their faces drained of color, the nervous glances they exchanged, as if each of them thought they might be next. The threat had landed exactly as intended.
But what surprised me was the look on Deputy President Mark's face. It was not just nervousness—it was panic. Genuine, wide-eyed panic. He tried to hide it, but I caught it immediately. My eyes flicked to Max, and I noticed he had noticed it too. He did not say a word but gave me a subtle nod. We both knew something was up.
Mark was hiding something.
