Chapter 1 - The Genius with the Flaming Feet

Tokyo, Japan January 11, Year 2136

"HAHAHAHA"

"Fear me, Tokyo. I, Ryujin Yurei, the dragon king, have come to take revenge upon you land dwellers. And don't worry about Allmight saving you; he won't. My minions are making sure of that. So everyone, don't move, or you won't ever again.

A disfigured Fishman can be seen standing over a middle-aged man with holes all around his body in the middle of a crowd.

Pierced by the wild fury of God.

"How's that, Sato? Wouldn't you rather have this Godly power now? It isn't too ugly now, is it" The Fishman began kicking the man, shattering bones in the process, causing the man to output a variety of groans and screams for what seemed like 5 minutes.

"This is getting boring, you know what, Sato? If you just call me beautiful, I will spare you and these ugly people here."

"Ugh, I'm sorry, Kaito. You are very beautiful, and I was wrong to ever tell you otherwise. I'm very, very sorry. Just please let me live. I have a family. Remember Luna. She wouldn't want this. Please forgive me."The man begged with all he had, though the Fishman now looked more angry than bored, holding his hand to the man's heart.

"Don't you dare speak that name ever!" He prepared to puncture the man's chest with the spear of God.

"Stoooop". A man of flames appeared in the sky and landed between the Crowd and the dragon king. Stopping the King in his tracks

"Endeavor's here. We're saved," the Crowd erupted in cheers, their hope reignited.

"Stop this, Kaito. Everything will be fine if you let the guy go. We won't even chase you; just let the man go, and we can handle this later." The Number two hero of Japan reassured the villain in a tone that seemed soft and heroic. Endeavor really cared for the people.

"Ah, my arch nemesis Endeavor; while I can appreciate your offer, this business is more personal than ours, so I will have to not take you up on it." The fish king, Kaito, jumped in the air," And I don't think you could capture me anyway. Sorry, you unsightly heathens; your hero might have gotten you killed."

"Let the wrath of god be upon you."

Grand Tsunaaa-- !!!"

A sudden thud followed by another thud echoed through the panicked but now quiet street, with only the voice of endeavors calming citizens and a childish yell being heard.

"Dang it! I was going too fast and missed my timing." The child could be seen standing on the dragon king's burnt face, lost in thought.

"You know what, better late than never. You are saved, Flaming kick!!" the child said, raising his fist to the sky with a smile that was leaning towards demonic.

"Thanks for the distraction Number 2"

15 Minutes Later After the scene is cleared and the police have arrived.

"Congrats on another brilliant save, Endeavor. Your unwavering commitment to protecting the city is truly commendable. We know you're busy, so we'll handle the situation from here. The villain wasn't lying about his mutated minions spreading Chaos across the city." The policeman turned up his walkie to let Endeavor hear the Chaos.

"Even Allmight might struggle with this many."

A smile of determination appeared on Endeavor's face, another chance to prove he was the best, but he did have some questions, especially given the absurdity he had just witnessed. "Before I leave, Do you know the name of that kid I saved?"

"Oh, that's Shinra. He's our good luck charm. I don't know how he always gets in these situations, but whenever he's there, the villains rarely get away. Who knows, maybe they're drawn to his cute little orphan face—at least, that's what Kenji thinks." Policeman 2 stated in a joking manner.

"Well, if he's so cute, don't you think he would have been adopted by now?" Endeavor asked thoughtfully.

He had seen the kid's quirk, and it had potential; he would be a game-changer in villain fights and could definitely be decisive in the future, bringing wealth and influence to whoever adopted him. Not many can fight villains at that young age. So why was he not adopted?

"Well, People have tried to adopt him, but he runs away every time, stating that you have to work harder than that to catch the number 1."

"Huh, interesting, I'll be on my way then."

1Week Later

It has been five years since Shinra had transmigrated to this new world, and it has been quite a ride so far. Of course, the first few years comprised of pooping in diapers and crying 24/7, but as Shinra got older and experienced more of this brand new world of heroes and villains with even places outside of Tokyo, the more he believed this world was made just for him. A land where he could be the greatest hero of them all.

Shinra had been taking out minor villains so far to get back in practice with his fire, which had somehow followed him here. He didn't know if he would get a quirk.

"Happy birthday, Shinra!! The matron and her posse of glazers shouted, waking him out of his sleep. The matron flashed a diamond-like smile that Shinra had only seen once when he brought back money he had robbed from a bank robber.

"What are you planning, you hag? You never wish me happy birthday, and you already know I won't get adopted by anyone who can't catch me, and that's no one." Flames started sparking from his feet; he had woken up tied up in someone's trunk before having been "adopted."

"Well, my dear Shinra, you can just say I'm in a nice mood today; I will no longer have to suffer the presence of a demon," Iris, the matron of the orphanage, said, her smug tone hanging in the air like a heavy cloud.

"Uh-huh, sure, let's just get this over with."

Shinra maintained his facade of indifference, his usual mask of detachment firmly in place. He had never seen her act like this. Over the years, he had been almost adopted 30 times by ordinary to-be parents and heroes alike. Yet, she always seemed disappointed when they walked through the door.

He harbored no ill will towards these potential parents or the concept of adoption; it simply felt more comforting to remain without new guardians when he had already formed a strong bond with his late mother. Moreover, most of these individuals were only interested in his 'quirk,' so he wasn't really interested in their "kindness".

"Of course, Shinra. Follow me to meet him. I'm sure you two will get on like a house on fire," She cackled like the joke was funny, her laughter echoing through the corridor. She walked out of the room toward the entrance.

"Haruto, do you know who she's talking about? She's acting weird." Shinra addressed the quietest of the children, who was also his closest friend, as he followed Iris. Haruto then shrugged his shoulders, his eyes betraying a hint of curiosity and sadness. Shinra was his favorite, but if the matron was this confident, then Shinra was absolutely cooked.

As the small group approached the orphanage's exit, they were met with a throng of fervent fans surrounding a figure. The crowd parted as Iris guided them towards the center. Shinra grew nervous as they neared, his skin heating up, both from his preperation for the impending encounter with the prominent figure and the literal heat emanating from the center were the man stood, as if a portal to the underworld had opened in the heart of the city.

Finally, making their way to the front, where the heat was the hottest, Shinra saw a man with a large frame and a mustache of flame, someone he had "saved" a week ago.

"Shinra, meet Endeavor; he's here to take you home, the adoption has already been processed and accepted."
