....Wally, the President has been kidnapped. The teams are mobilizing!" Iris burst in, her breath heavy, sweat beading on her forehead.
Wally, who had anticipated the interruption, sighed inwardly. "Good thing I've already achieved my goal, at least partially," he thought. The automatic Speed Force aura he had developed would grant him higher durability on top of the natural resilience speedsters possess.
He estimated that he could take a half-powered punch from someone like Supergirl with minimal injury—even if caught off guard. If he saw it coming, he could supercharge his body to tank the attack directly.
"Wally, are you coming?" Iris asked, snapping him back to reality. He sped out of the truck, noticing Iris's eyes lingering on the food she'd arranged for him an hour ago and the empty Big Belly Burger package nearby.
"Barry, what happened?" Sara asked on behalf of the Legends, having just returned from freshening up.
"The President has been taken by the Dominators. Lyla needs our help rescuing him," Barry responded, just as Cisco approached from the truck, where he'd been gathering equipment. But he had found something else that needed addressing first.
"Barry!" Cisco called out loudly. Wally found a place to sit, avoiding the unfolding scene. "This is you... from the future, isn't it?" Cisco confronted Barry under the gaze of the teams.
Barry nodded, signaling Cisco to drop the matter for now, but Cisco pressed forward.
"Did you tell them?" Cisco asked, with Barry subtly shaking his head.
"Tell us what?" Sara pushed, curiosity piqued.
Barry sighed, steeling himself. "Six months ago, I traveled back in time, stopped the Reverse-Flash from killing my mom, creating an alternate reality called Flashpoint. When things went wrong, I tried to restore everything to how it was..."
"How did you do that?" Ray, the Atom, asked curiously.
"I asked the Reverse-Flash to go back and kill my mother," Barry replied, his voice heavy with the weight of his decision, wondering what kind of son he was to ask for his own mother's death.
"But when I returned, things weren't the same. Some people's lives were changed," Barry paused, struggling with the confession.
"Some people like?" Diggle asked, sensing something had been off in his life but unable to place it.
"Wally, Cisco, Caitlin, and you," Barry admitted, avoiding Diggle's gaze.
"What do you mean by that?" Diggle pressed, swallowing hard as he awaited the news.
Oliver, noticing Barry's emotional turmoil, stepped in to explain. "Apparently, you had a daughter. Baby John was Baby Sara," he said, placing a comforting hand on Diggle's shoulder.
"So, let me get this straight—you just erased a daughter from my life?" Diggle's voice trembled with restrained anger.
"Barry, you can't just go back and change things," Sara interjected firmly.
"I know that now," Barry replied, still unable to meet their eyes.
"Do you know how hard it is for me not to alter certain events to bring Laurel back? But I don't, because I know the implications... You know what, just forget it. Right now, the President needs us," she added, trying to shift focus back to the mission.
But Barry, sensing the team's hesitation to follow his lead, made a decision. "I think I'm going to sit this one out. You have Supergirl—she's just as fast as me—and you also have Wally."
"No. If you're not going, then I'm not going either," Wally responded, standing firm and meeting the others' eyes with resolve.
"Get the President; we'll talk about this later," Barry added, nodding at Kara, who returned the gesture.
"Guys, come on—hey, this is crazy! Everyone is going, including Barry. I'm not going anywhere without him," Oliver insisted, hoping to resolve the tension. However, he underestimated the resentment the others now felt.
"Then you'll be staying here too, Oliver," Diggle retorted before turning to leave with the others.
"Okay, guys, let's head back to S.T.A.R. Labs," Barry muttered, loud enough for everyone to hear, prompting Cisco, Caitlin, and HR to start packing up the equipment, with Felicity in tow.
Wally quickly joined in to help, and soon they were on the road. By the time the others had reached S.T.A.R. Labs, Wally was already there, relaxing and reading through some books to accumulate more knowledge.
It wasn't long before the team arrived, settling behind the monitors as they began tracking for any Dominator activity.
Meanwhile, Wally's clone watched from a distance as the team approached the building where the President was estimated to be held.
Wally closed his eyes, viewing the scene through his clone's perspective, ensuring it remained covert enough to avoid Supergirl's detection.
"This way, I'll know when they pull up to S.T.A.R. Labs," he thought, watching as they entered the building. "I've still got about five minutes... Let's see what Sasha's up to," he muttered, glancing at a recent message from her.
**Sasha:** *Wally, I've missed you. Wanna meet up?*
"This girl..." he said with a wide grin, easily reading between the lines of what she wanted. He intended to give it to her—just not right now.
But as the smile faded, Wally recalled his future self's words. "I guess I really do fear the future, even if I try to hide it with these playful remarks to myself," he thought, wondering if he could truly conquer the challenges that lay ahead.
"Sigh... but nothing's stopping me from having some fun," he shrugged, quickly replying and setting up a meetup for later.
"Anyway, it seems the mind-controlled heroes are already on their way as expected," he muttered, watching from the clone's perspective.
"Supergirl is the only one capable of giving me any problems," he murmured, glancing at the incoming cannon fodder marching toward S.T.A.R. Labs in their vehicles.
With a serious expression, Wally glanced at his suit and donned it in a flash. Wasting no time, he rushed to the entrance of S.T.A.R. Labs just as the hypnotized heroes arrived.
Skidding to a stop, his eyes immediately focused on Supergirl and Firestorm, giving little attention to the non-powered members. Diggle, Mike, Sara, and Thea quickly drew their weapons, firing with lethal intent.
As arrows, bullets, and shurikens headed his way, Wally's body sparked with lightning, and his perception shifted into overdrive.
Inside the labs, Cisco noticed the commotion and hastily alerted Oliver and Barry. Without hesitation, Barry sped to the scene, bringing Oliver with him.
Amidst the gunfire and lasers, Wally dodged each attack with precision, phasing through anything that would slow him down. He moved effortlessly, evading the bullets, arrows, and even the combined might of Supergirl's heat vision and Firestorm's flames.
Initially testing his own limits, Wally noticed Barry and Oliver's arrival. He quickly created a speed clone, commanding it to handle the non-powered heroes while he focused on Supergirl, Firestorm, and Atom.
He threw lightning bolts with minimal effort to draw their attention. Atom was knocked back with surprising force, but Firestorm and Supergirl charged head-on, unfazed.
"Come on!" Wally shouted, taunting them. They rushed at him with brute strength, but their attacks were wild and uncontrolled.
Supergirl quickly caught up, her speed surpassing his since his cells weren't fully charged with Speed Force energy. But his heightened perception gave him an edge, allowing him to evade her attacks with careful precision.
Her fist slammed into the concrete, creating a small crater. As he prepared to land a punch packed with over a billion joules of energy, a fireball from Firestorm forced Wally to retreat. Kara lunged at him again, her fist aimed at his solar plexus, wind gusting as she charged.
Unable to dodge in time, Wally decided to test his Speed Force aura for the first time, raising his hand defensively.
Boom! A concussive blast echoed as their forces collided. Kara flinched, momentarily hesitating as she registered his durability. But the telekinetic influence in her mind was too strong, and her wild nature resumed.
Feeling the lingering effects of her punch, Wally opted to dodge her next attack, phasing effortlessly through her blow. Shifting his focus to Firestorm, who launched pillars of flames at him, Wally dodged with ease before retaliating with a focused bolt of lightning. Under the focused attack Firestorm crumpled to the ground, knocked out and paralyzed.
At that moment, Barry arrived beside him, having dealt with the others.
"I have a plan, I'll take it from here." Finding no reason to argue, Wally sped back to the Cortex, opting to allow the plot to continue.
(Should I just move on away from the crossover plot and focus directly on flash)
