Chapter 28 - [SIDE STORY 1|PRIMORDIAL CHAOS - [C2] LOOMING DARKNESS

On one hand, the old healer noticed something pretty much inconceivable to have occurred to a household of Gods.

He profusely broke out of tears and sweat as he sensed a remarkable, dark, eerie aura coming from behind the doors.

"W-what is that...?"

He shakily pointed at the door which is also translucent to the inner room.

Tsukuyomi gazed upon the old man with seriousness all over his face.

"What is it? What do you see?"

Tsukuyomi asked the shaking old man, who looked like he saw a ghost which could even scare a God.

The old man then looked at the young God, still pointing at the other end of the door.

"D-do you not see that...?"

Tsukuyomi, on the other hand, just shook his head and asked.

"What is it that you see, Old Healer."

With that said, the old man vigorously slides the door open, his eyes fixated on the wisp of darkness looming over the heart of the God who lies beside the beautiful and enchanting Goddess. He has long greying hair and long eyelashes that would invite anyone who sees his breathtaking appearance, his and Tsukuyomi's physiques are almost identical with a difference of size and age.

"We have to kill him immediately!"

He then pointed his right index finger towards Izanagi. Upon seeing and hearing the supposed healer's words. In a rage, he grabbed the collar of the old man and questioned.

"Whatever do you mean by that?

Do you want to kill my Father?!

Did I hear that correctly?!"

The old healer repeated his words with his whole body still trembling in fear, not towards Tsukuyomi but towards the entity which is currently being emitted in Izanagi's body.

"W-we have to kill him immediately and let him enter the Cycle of Reincarnation mostly known as the process of the body's reconstruction!

Else... I'm afraid that... At this given rate... He'll eventually be thoroughly engulfed and corrupted!"

He said in earnest, as if it's truly something to be avoided at all cost that he even risked offending the young God and his entire clan right in their domain.

Tsukuyomi, on the other hand, didn't take his words lightly, but he isn't also the sort of type to provide punishment to those who have yet to do anything wrong towards them.

"On what basis are you saying that?"

The old man didn't answer and asked him to put him down.

"Put me down first and I'll tell you."

The young head of the clan begrudgingly put him down; in return, he spoke with a cold menacing voice.

"If there's even a hint of falsehood in your words, I'll be the one to personally behead you right where you stand."

Even as he heard his threat, the old man started to tell a certain tale from a book he had read dating back before the Primordial Chaos.

"The First Primordial God... The book I've read was written by the First Primordial, who unknowingly died, which caused the vacancy of the Primordial Throne.

It was stated in the first entry of the book that."

[As the First Primordial... I can't help but think that is it truly a necessity for us Gods to live off of mortal faith?]

"That was the question the First Primordial tried to answer. Then again upon reading all of the book's entries, my attention was caught by a disturbing note he had written."

[Mortals... I've tried to devour and savour their blood and flesh to gain a certain amount of Divine Power aside from relying on their faith... Miraculously, the test was a resounding success.]

"Though that was not all. Before the very last entry, the Primordial Gods' writing seemed to have lost its elegance and was in turn exchanged with horrifyingly sharp letters, dancing in the tune of violence."

[I'm currently writhing in so much pain and agony as I've devoured over millions of my believers... It's as if I'm being devoured by all of their negative energy, which in turn resulted in my...

*SHARP CURVE*

What... Am I doing...? Who's writing is this...? What's this thing looming over my chest...? -----------!!!]

"It was as if the first Primordial God had completely lost itself that it grew confused, its writings fell off the grid of the pages of the book. From the last entry... The only written word there is... is a Deathly Silence with some cryptic letters, carved by his blood.

The book itself was also made from its flesh. I concluded that that person, your Father, seemed to have encountered something similar to that situation and is currently experiencing the very first symptoms of corruption."

The old man then pointed again and was about to inform of him the most crucial information which needed to be properly passed over to the Young Clan Head.

"So, this is--"

"Enough."

Tsukuyomi looked at the old man with a deadly glare.

"But--"

"I said enough!

I do not care for whatever reason you're trying to convey it to me. Heal my parents and leave!"
