Tomas followed Soren inside, his footsteps hesitant as he held June tightly in his arms.
Zale's cold gaze followed him immediately, sending a shiver down Tomas's spine. The Omega gulped, his heart racing as he caught Zale glaring at him with a dark, unreadable expression.
Tomas felt more out of place with each passing second.
But when Tomas's eyes landed on Avalon, his breath caught in his throat. Shock rippled through him as he saw the man he'd been trying to search for weeks. At the same time, Avalon's eyes widened in disbelief, recognition flashing across his face.
Without a word, Avalon shot up from his seat and stormed over to Tomas. His eyes locked onto the sparkling silver locket hanging around June's small neck. Before Tomas could react, Avalon roughly snatched the locket from June's neck, his grip forceful enough to make the child whimper and wake from his sleep.
