"Shouldn't we talk about something to pass the time?" Soren proposed without looking anywhere but at Zale. He didn't know if it was the cold air or the glow of the moon in Zale's eyes, they seemed different. Something different from usual he couldn't put his finger on.
To him, they look almost.....exactly like whenever he permits him to breathe in his scent. Like he was restraining his crooked desires, his eyes came off as he was fighting the urge not to pounce on him.
However, Soren reasoned that his eyes were like that because he was in agony and distressed. Is he still hurting somewhere right now?
"Like what?" With each word he spoke, Zale's voice grew quieter.
"Anything," Soren says, following Zale's eyes that wander down to his lips as he speaks. "Anything you'd like to chat about, or even share some of your concerns."
"I have," Zale declared. Soren's attention begins to pique. Maybe, this time Zale puts out his deal and Soren will know how he could cure him or get to know what he wants.
"All right," Soren lets out, encouragingly. It's unusual for Zale to talk about or share his concerns.
"There's something that keeps itching my senses for hours now," Zale said and took Soren by surprise by turning his whole body to him and now they're standing face to face.
Soren's heart fastened and he forgot to think about anything else except the bewitching eyes that seemed to entangle his senses. His scalp went numb when Zale looked softly at him. He unknowingly gulped.
"What?" Soren said quietly, he was ready to solve anything disturbing Zale and condemned why he didn't know about it yet, even after hours now.
"Are you really sharing the room with that dunderhead Vampire?" Soren has no idea where Zale is coming from when he lets out.
He gives him a feeble nod to allow him to proceed. Solace moved out of his room since he wanted to live in the guest room because the rooms were near Elinor's room. So, he exchanged rooms with Avalon.
In order to inform Soren that he accidentally broke the bed and other furniture while using his powers, Avalon was searching for him. When Zale and Soren were having a fun time blaming each other a few hours ago. And because there wasn't another guest room ready at the time, Soren proposed to share the room with him.
"Are you going to sleep in the same bed?"
"Or then where will I sleep-" Soren's brows furrowed at the query, which he didn't entirely comprehend.
"I'm not fond of it!"
Soren was caught by surprise by Zale's strong rebuke. "I know I'm being childish right now, and what I'm saying may make no sense to you, but the thought that you'll be sharing a bed with anyone else has been bothering me for hours."
"Master Zale, no other room is available," Soren said after a half-minute of silence since he didn't know how to respond. "And it's not a big deal since we are both guys."
Zale gripped his arms and yanked Soren to himself. Because for him it is a big deal, he doesn't want his mate to be in the same bed with someone that's not him. His face was inches away from Soren, he was furious and heated. Soren's eyes widened in shock, he left flabbergasted. The conscience he was trying hard to keep at bay, started to waver.
Heat ignited from the place Zale was grabbing him and left his heart in flames. His heart thundered and electricity jolted in his entire body, just by staring into those intense hazel green eyes, resembling a deep sea with no end.
"Then just sleep in my room." Zale let out, his voice going deep and captivating.
Soren's whole self halts its processing, "What?"
"I don't mind sleeping in the living room, I'd manage it so please take my room," Zale said with a hopeful look.
Oh, so that's what he meant. He looked somewhat disappointed.
"You don't have to do that, if it's making you fuss this much, don't worry I'd take the couch in my room."
Soren lets out but this doesn't appear to ease Zale's mind in a bit. Nevertheless, he couldn't comprehend how else to convince him.
"Anything else that making you upset?" Soren questioned and he could feel Zale's eyes roaming around his neck for some time now.
Zale looked up to him and back to his neck and then again to his face, "Can I?"
Zale asked for permission and it was the first time he'd ever asked Soren to let him take his neck. He was surprised beyond thought, usually, whenever Zale was feeling uneasy or furious he just yanked Soren to himself and stuck his face in his comforting scent.
Soren thought maybe it was because he denied it a few hours ago when in his room which made him this obedient. If he'd known that it could impact him this much, he would have done it earlier.
"Yes," Soren grants him and without wasting any second, Zale ends the distance between them. Zale, without any further delay, scoots him in his arms, much to Soren's content.
