At the Zarek Kingdom
"Mother, do we really have to do this?" Seiren asked her mother, but her father answered.
"Seiren, you and your two siblings have been chosen to study in the Eleonorin Kingdom. Elijah said after visiting us that only the three of you have the potential to study there because of your fighting skills and abilities. If you pass the trials they will give you, they may appoint you as royal guardians, which could be beneficial to our kingdom," Seiren's father explained.
Their father, Steven, was the right-hand man of King Frederick, the king of Zerek Kingdom, whose only wish was to improve the world they lived in.
"Yes, Father," Seiren replied, then went to her siblings to prepare the things they would need for their journey.
"What do you think, sis? How many months do you think we'll be there?" Severus asked while packing.
"About six to eight months," Seiren answered.
Seeing that her siblings had finished packing, they went out and headed to the garden where their parents were always staying.
"Father and Mother, we'll be leaving now," the three of them bid farewell.
"Take care on your journey," their mother said.
"Severus, come here for a moment," their father called Severus, so he immediately approached.
"I trust you, son, take care of your siblings, especially our princess. If anyone tries to hurt or make her cry, give them a beating," Steven whispered to him, causing the father and son to laugh together.
"You can count on me, Father," Severus replied. The father nodded, signaling that they could start their journey.
While Traveling
"My butt itches, Sixten, can you scratch it for me?" Severus said, approaching Sixten with his butt.
"You're so gross, go away," Sixten said, pushing Severus away.
"You know, sis, when we get to Eleonorin Kingdom, I'm going to look for beautiful women to marry. With my looks, I deserve plenty of beautiful women," Severus said with a wink.
"Crazy, maybe you'll attract handsome men instead of beautiful women," Sixten said, laughing.
"No way," Severus pouted, then approached Seiren.
"Sis, he's bullying me," Severus complained to Seiren, making the girl laugh and pinch her brothers' cheeks.
"You two, that's enough. Let's hurry because it's getting late."
"Is it still far, sis?" Sixten asked.
"A bit, but don't worry, there's an inn nearby in the town of Eleonor where we can stay overnight to rest because my feet hurt from all the walking."
"Ride on my back, Sis, so you can rest," Severus suggested, moving in front of Seiren and sitting down.
"Get on, Sis."
"No need, I know you're tired too, and the inn is quite near." But Severus was stubborn, so he carried her bridal style.
"What about me?" Sixten asked, causing Severus to stop and look back at Sixten.
"You're grown-up; you can manage," Severus said, starting to walk, but noticing Sixten still wasn't walking, he approached him and let his sister down for a moment so Sixten could sit properly in front of him.
"Get on," Severus said, causing Sixten's face to light up and immediately hop on Severus's back.
"You're heavy," Severus said, then lifted his sister again, who initially refused but eventually agreed due to Severus's stubbornness.
The position of the three was like Sixten was piggybacking on Severus while Seiren was carried bridal style in front.
"You two are heavy," Severus complained, making the two laugh.
"You asked for it," Sixten said, laughing.
"Do you want me to get down?" Seiren asked.
"No, Sis. You're so light it's like I'm carrying a box full of heavy things," Severus joked, making the two laugh.
"You really," Seiren said, pinching her siblings' ears.
"Ouch," Severus complained.
The Drunken Inn
"We're here," Seiren said, getting off.
"Finally!" Severus shouted, lying down on the inn's floor. "Exhausting," he muttered, making the other two look at each other and laugh.
"Good afternoon, sir and madam. How may I assist you?"
"How many beds are there in one room?" Seiren asked the innkeeper.
"There are two."
"Ah, wait a moment," she said, turning to us. "Is that okay with you two?" she asked, and Sixten and I nodded in agreement.
"Okay, we'll take that," she said with a smile.
"Follow me, please."
"Do you think they have alcohol here?" Severus whispered to Sixten.
"How should I know?" Sixten replied sarcastically. "Am I the manager here?" he added, making Severus glare at him.
"Uh, we do sell alcohol here. Our alcohol is the best in Eleonorin Kingdom." It seems the innkeeper overheard their conversation. 'This guy must be nosy,' Severus thought to himself.
"Really?" Severus asked, causing his sister to narrow her eyes at him.
"Yes," the innkeeper replied with a smile.
"Alright, prepare five bottles," Severus said.
"Severus!" his sister protested.
"Don't worry, sis, we'll only drink one bottle, and we'll take the other four with us," Severus said with a smile, making his sister shake her head.
"Sis, you should rest here first. We'll just be downstairs. We heard their alcohol here is good, so we won't miss this chance," Severus said, taking his leave.
"Okay, just a little, okay? We have to leave early tomorrow."
"Sure, sis."
"Did you feel something strange while we were walking?" Sixten asked Severus seriously while sipping his drink.
Since they arrived in Eleonorin Kingdom, it felt like someone was watching their every move.
'So he felt it too,' Severus thought to himself.
"Yes, I felt like someone was watching us," Severus replied seriously while drinking. "Why? Are you scared?"
"Idiot, no, I'm just worried because our sister is with us. I don't want her to get hurt," Sixten said, showing signs of concern.
"Idiot? You're the idiot. But don't worry, I'll protect you and Sis," Severus reassured Sixten, making him smile.
"But admit it, you're thrilled, aren't you?" Severus teased with a grin.
"You're gross."
"Hahahaha!"
**The Next Day**
While the siblings were walking, Severus couldn't help but recount embarrassing and funny incidents involving his brother Sixten.
"I remember when Sixten was little, he would always wet his bed, and he'd blame it on me the next morning. Hahaha," Severus said, laughing, causing Sixten to frown.
"Well, on my birthday, we had a feast, and the king was beside you when you farted at the table. Then you pretended to cover your nose as if it wasn't you, but little did you know, we all knew it was you. Hahaha," Sixten countered, causing Seiren to laugh as she remembered the incident.
"And the king lost his appetite because of the smell," Seiren added, making Severus's face turn red with embarrassment.
"Come on, sis," Severus said, pouting as he approached his sister and hugged her.
"Sorry, little brother," Seiren said, but Severus only replied.
"But, sis, you--" Severus was cut off as his sister pinched him.
"Ouch, Sis, okay, I'll be quiet now," Severus said.
"Wait," Sixten said, stopping his siblings.
"Huh?" Severus asked, confused, looking at what Sixten was observing.
"Deadly Corpse," the siblings said in unison, drawing their weapons.
Deadly Corpse - corpses that poison you when touched, causing death.
"Be careful," Seiren warned her siblings as they noticed they were surrounded by corpses.
The corpses in front of Severus suddenly attacked, but he swiftly decapitated them.
"Cut off their heads so they won't revive," Severus instructed his siblings, having noticed that targeting the heart wasn't enough.
He ran towards a tree, jumped, and threw his sword at the deadly corpses, decapitating them.
Seeing a deadly corpse behind his sister that she hadn't noticed, he jumped and backflipped toward it, kicking its back, stabbing its chest, and severing its head.
Seiren looked at him and thanked him, "Thank you."
As time passed, the number of deadly corpses increased. The three were tired but continued to fight.
Due to being distracted by his siblings, Sixten didn't notice a deadly corpse approaching him. But before it could attack, a man suddenly stepped in front of him, stabbed its heart, and decapitated it.
It wasn't long before they eliminated the deadly corpses with the help of the men in white.
"Thank you so much for your help, gentlemen. Without you, my siblings and I might have been in trouble," Seiren sincerely said before bowing in gratitude.
"It's our pleasure to help you, Miss and Misters," the man replied with a smile.
"Where are you headed? Is there a funeral?" Severus asked, surprised, which shocked the people around.
"Severus!" Sixten and Seiren said in unison.
"Sorry, I mean their clothes, they look like they're going to a funeral," Severus replied, pouting.
"Ah, this is really our attire inside the palace, as a sign that we live there," the man said with a smile.
"Why are you here, by the way? Your attire shows that you are not from Eleonorin," a man asked.
"We are from Zarek Kingdom. We were sent here to study at the palace of Eleonorin," Seiren said with a smile.
"Zerek Kingdom? The warriors?"
"That's us," Severus said with a grin, followed by a smirk.
"If that's the case then, come with us since we're heading to the same place."
"Are we not disturbing you?"
"Not at all."
"Thank you very much, gentlemen," the men nodded in response.
