Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Sea of The Unknown and

Akeno notices that Koneko is giving a small smile looking at the shining boy right in front of everyone, which makes his heart warm... knowing that everyone will be in a good union with the new member.

[You got the relationship level (Waning Moon) with Koneko because of your determination.]

• The relationship level descriptions have changed according to the current version of the system.

[Day 4, 8:10 PM, (Monday) Inside the Client's Home]

The magic circle begins to glow on the floor of one of the rooms in the house and Kentaro quickly emerges to find his client and make him his new and first slave.

However, the whole area around the house was dark and there was no light to see... his mind was in turmoil because he had to have someone at home at this time of night.

Even in the darkness, his devil's eyes could see his surroundings well enough, but even with this peculiarity... he tried to look for a switch so that things would be more normal for his work.

The feeling of being in the house of someone you don't know and everything still being dark, plus the theory that the man is asleep at the moment, is very high... so the light being on makes the situation more normal and moving, rather than an invasion of moonlight.

"Since I'm in the kitchen, I need to find the living room and turn on the whole main room... but it's a pretty big place." In a low tone, he looked for a nearby switch so that the whole main room would be lit.

With his right forearm, he opened his system and proceeded to assess his current relationships with his friends and his Power levels.

As he walked into the living room, he spotted a small wooden table with a vase of a flower of the species (Epiphyllum Oxypetalum) known as the flower of the princess of the night or the queen of darkness.

Its petals were spiky, its colors were in whitish-yellow tones... in the center of the flower, it was similar to a rose, only completely white.

The sensation of observing that flower was one of mystery as if that plant brought with it an energy of ultimate premonition... that could not be avoided.

However, next to that flower pot, the switch was on the wall that connected the entire living room and the exit door that led out of the client's home.

"It wasn't as difficult as I thought..." Relieved with the case, he closed his system and pressed the switch to turn on the light... but nothing happened, no light was turned on in the rooms.

Everything around them remained silent, his hearing only heard their light breathing, without feeling any kind of alternative pressure.

[I shouldn't be your guide, but there's no sign of a civilian in this house].

The system ended up confirming in his mind that the client he was looking for wasn't at home, and that he should find out where he was at the moment.

"So you're telling me I'll be left without a slave? I don't know what I'm going to do now." Indignant as he stared at the floor, he turned away from the door for a moment to reflect.

In the room, there was no physical telephone, so requesting a call wouldn't have been a very convincing idea, given all that... his presence now became lost rather than objective, but in the end, there remained a sense of tranquillity since it wasn't a life or death mission.

It was then that Kentaro noticed that there was a letter on the television table, and he walked over to it and picked it up to read.

_________

Food courier.

Hello, I'm out of the house so I can buy more manga from a book I love to read, in case you come through the window to deliver some food as I've left a sign by the door... the money is on the counter dear delivery man.

Have a great evening and good work!

Sincerely, Morisawa-san

Kentaro's expression was one of remorse and strangeness since he was dealing with a nerdy man with no great vision of the future... he ended up leaving the letter on the table and his right eye twitched at what he was reading.

"I don't know why an old fool would leave a window unlocked at the risk of being robbed... Good thing it's none of my business." said Kentaro as he walked to the door and put his hand on the handle to open it.

The door was locked, precisely because Morisawa had gone out to buy his things and he had only left the window open for easy entry.

"The window is locked from the inside, but the outside can be opened by the driver... and he would lock it again from the outside and then go home." Kentaro reflected Morisawa's logic since you can get in from the outside, but you can't open it from the inside.

The door had a hole in the middle of the wood, which would give him a view of the outside of the house. He walked over to the hole and used his eye to look around.

He realized that he wasn't actually in a house, but in a condominium that appeared to be cheap housing, with possible residents on opposite sides of the house and there was a stone railing so that he could lean on it and watch the starry sky outside.

Kentaro once again tried to squeeze the door handle with all his might to break it and get out of that place... but as his most powerful grip was about to break, he heard the same whispering voice he had noticed hours ago while cycling to Kuoh Academy.

"Kentaro... Kentaro..." The heavy breathing in a low tone entered the boy's hearing and it bothered him as much as it did last time.

"What kind of fucking voice is that! Why have you come back to torment me?" Enraged as he walked away from the door, he put both hands over both ears to try to alleviate the sound.
