"1st Art - Call of the Thunder."
"2nd Art - Shadow's Rising."
Suddenly two youths on both sides of the beast rushed at it spears in hand.
One had a spear covered in pure electricity while the other was no longer even visible.
A slash seemingly coming from nowhere marked the dragon as a familiar tall woman once again appeared before quickly disappearing.
On the other side a young man pulled back his arm throwing his spear with all his might. Thunder crackling as it launched towards the beast.
"I'll finish this."
A handsome blonde said from behind them.
'Ah... this scene.'
Seeing his wounded friend. Adrian lifted his sword into the air, the bright golden sword taken on a similar but different appearance. His gaze never leaving the beast before him. He determinedly shouted,
"2nd Art - Sword of Promised Victory!"
A pillar of light erupted from Adrian's blade as it adopting a new form. He held his sword high and slashed down with all his might devastating everything in its path.

'Ah... it's finally over.'
"Hey guys a little help over here."
I looked over to see a smiling Adrian collapsed on the floor, completely out of mana.
"You idiot! Don't do things like that!"
Maria quickly ran up to him to check on his condition.
The world around us slowly began collapsing. A massive auditorium came into view. Students on all sides of me sitting in familiar seats.
I looked to my sides seeing Aria and Adrian focused on the stage.
On the stage stood the professors of the academy.
More specifically in the middle, stood the principal.
'Walmart Gojo.'
A handsome man radiating a charming aura capturing the attention of many of the female students and even some males stood before the mic looking down at the many students.
His eyes were like gems, one a radiate shade of emerald green and the other a deep blue like a diamond.
He seemed nonchalant, bored even. He wore a basic gray cardigan while standing next to professors wearing suits and business attire.
"Yo, the name's Nova Mahou Schlomo. You can just call me Nova or Esteemed Professor. Whatever suits your boat. I'm your principal and I'll be the professor in charge of Class - S."
"You white-haired bastard put some more enthusiasm into the speech."
Shouted a beautiful golden-haired girl from the side.
"Yeah, yeah."
The man replied while waving her off.
Not even bothering to face her much to her irritation.
"I won't say stupid things. Strength rules supreme in this world. The strong write history."
He continued as his put his hands in his pockets.
"If you think I'm half-assing this then you're right, but none of you can do a damn about it. What I'm trying to say is get strong. That's the only thing you can do in this world."
He suddenly disappeared into thin air as the blonde girl from earlier walked up to the mic.
"Don't worry about that bastard of a principal. I'm Rachel Klassan Bilgameis. The current student council president of Incarnation Academy."
With that the freshman orientation shifted to boring speeches from a variety of professors.
Most of the students were bored out of their mind.
Some even slept while others intently focused on the speeches including Eric.
A determined look sprouted on his face, his eyes never leaving the mic.
'Don't worry buddy, one day you'll be one of the people standing up there.'
*********
"Let's spar!"
A certain violet-eyed girl ran up to me as the students were flooding out of the auditorium.
"Hah..."
'Guess this is my life now.'
I said as she dragged me towards a familiar white building.
'The training area, a building that all students have access to and where Eric spends most of his time.'
[You have gained recognition from three Ascenders]
[Would you like to rank up?]
A suddenly feminine voice rang into my ears.
'This damn status screen, it's always late. Why didn't it go off any time earlier.'
Little did he know a certain white-haired bastard was blocking the status screens intervention.
I suddenly looked up at the woman dragging me by my shirt.
A trail of dirt and dust following behind us.
"I have to rank up, put me down for a second."
She suddenly let go letting me fall to the ground. I quickly lifted myself up and sat on a nearby bench.
'I wonder what type of bullshit I will have to go through this time.'
Every time you rank up you have to go through a trial depending on the myths and stories of the Ascender.

MC spent three days in his own mental world chasing down Sleipnir for his first minor rank up.
