He stood in front of the main gate and gave it a gentle push. The heavy iron door collapsed with a loud bang.
Lyon's powerful display left Tony and Yinsen stunned.
Before they could react.
Someone outside the iron door suddenly shouted loudly.
"Open fire!"
With that command.
Ta! Ta! Ta! Ta!
Dense gunfire erupted, and the bullets poured out like a torrential downpour.
The commotion in the cave earlier had been so loud.
The terrorists had long sensed that something was wrong.
Within the minutes of Tony and Lyon's talking inside, they had armed themselves, and under their leader's command, everyone had lined up with guns in the corridor in front of the cave entrance, ready to empty their rifle magazines.
At this command, everyone fired without hesitation.
But Lyon's reaction speed was faster than their gunfire.
With a quick glance, he reached out and shielded Tony and Yinsen behind him.
In the next second, countless bullets almost simultaneously hit him,
The crisp sound of impacts rang out continuously,
But they didn't cause even the slightest bit of harm.
Each bullet, upon hitting Lyon, was instantly deformed by the immense force and then fell to the ground.
Even bullets hitting Lyon's cornea were no exception.
At the same time, a large number of bullets hit the mountain wall and ground, kicking up a huge cloud of dust, obscuring the vision.
Amid the flying dust, the terrorists kept firing for over half a minute before the gunfire gradually ceased.
"We did it!"
(I didn't understand the words the terrorists chant in unison after thinking they killed the enemy. So we'll go with 'We did it!' lol)
"Yeah!"
The terrorists shouted, thinking that no one could survive such a crossfire.
The leader stood behind the corner of the corridor, arms crossed, peeking out to gaze into the dust-filled cave. A few seconds later, he waved his hand, sending someone forward to check.
Everyone was indifferent, believing there couldn't be any survivors inside—at most, it would just be a matter of whether the bodies were in a few pieces or dozens.
But just then...
Two crimson points of light rose in the dust and smoke.
Those lights seemed to harbor endless killing intent, sending chills down the spine of anyone who saw them.
"What is that? A bat?" someone dumbfoundedly asked.
No one answered, but in the next second, no one had any doubts.
The brightness of those two red lights rapidly increased, then shot out two terrifying heat rays.
The thick red rays were the most horrifying laser weapons the terrorists had ever seen in their lives.
With just a sweep from left to right, everyone in the path was cut in half, dying instantly, the cut surfaces seared into a bloody mess.
The rays were so fast that no one could react.
Everyone blocking the corridor in front of the cave entrance was killed almost instantly, not even having time to scream.
The people on the other side of the corridor only saw a flash of red light, and then everyone standing in front of them was cut in half and killed.
The remaining people stood there in stunned silence, their minds blank, unable to react.
It was the bald leader in the crowd who first came to his senses.
"That... that's a laser weapon developed by Tony Stark!?"
He was both shocked and certain.
"Damn it, he's been making this thing for the past few months!"
"We've been tricked by him!"
The leader's definitive conclusion brought some clarity to the group's blank minds, but they still looked at each other, not knowing what to do.
"Weapons are always used by people!"
At this moment, the leader judged, "Since it needs someone to operate it, we just need to kill the people inside, and the laser weapon will be ours!"
He ordered, "Everyone fall back, use grenades to bomb the cave, and kill Tony Stark for me!"
After giving the order, the leader licked his lips, his eyes revealing an unmistakable greed.
"I just want that laser weapon. As for Stark, kill him and then ask Obadiah Stane for money!" Leader said calmly.
The leader's order completely calmed everyone down.
It made so much sense!
No matter how powerful Stark's laser weapon was, if they killed him, the weapon would be theirs!
Almost everyone subconsciously forgot that a round of concentrated fire just now hadn't killed the people inside the cave.
The terrorists all stepped back, took out grenades, and prepared to throw them.
However, footsteps suddenly echoed from the other side of the cave corridor.
It sounded like just one person's footsteps, neither fast nor slow, leisurely.
"Wait!" The leader raised a clenched fist, signaling everyone to halt.
The group slowly lowered their grenades, raised their guns again, and focused their gaze on the corridor corner.
Tap, tap.
The footsteps grew closer and closer.
The leader grinned menacingly and threatened, "Tony Stark, do you think you can escape with a weapon? You deceived me, but it doesn't matter. Since you're doomed today, your laser weapon will become mine!"
"Oh? Really, but I'm not Tony," the approaching person calmly replied.
The terrorists thought the person walking towards them was Tony Stark.
However, when the figure stepped around the corner, it shocked them all.
It was a handsome man wearing only long pants, barefoot, and revealing his solid chest muscles.
Who is this? When did he enter the cave? Why haven't we seen him before?
""What the fuck?""
A chorus of incredulous curses echoed through the corridor.
"Who are you? Where's Stark?" The leader's already dark face turned even more sullen.
The cave was familiar, but out walked someone they'd never seen before.
He suddenly started to suspect that Tony Stark had already been rescued without them realizing, and they had been completely fooled.
Lyon glanced at him and said, "I am also Stark."
"You are Stark?" The leader's teeth ground together audibly. "This must be a joke... Open fire, all of you, open fire!"
The combat skills of these terrorists were indeed impressive.
Following the leader's order, their dense array of gun barrels simultaneously spewed flames again.
Lyon didn't dodge, allowing the bullets to strike him as he leisurely walked forward.
His super brain told him he could be as relaxed here as if he were at home.
However, for the terrorists facing him, the feeling was entirely different.
Their eyes widened, and though they kept pulling the triggers, their minds were in such disarray that they couldn't form any coherent thoughts.
What kind of monster was this, who wasn't harmed at all by rifle bullets?
As the distance between the two sides closed, Lyon remained unscathed.
Some of the terrorists began to lose their sanity, throwing down their guns and trying to run away.
"Ah, ah! Monster!"
"Stop!" The leader reflexively drew his gun to shoot the fleeing men.
But two scorching heat rays shot out faster than the leader could, instantly piercing and killing the deserters.
The leader stared blankly at his fallen subordinates, their eyes wide open in death, then turned, his own eyes almost bursting with rage, to look at "Stark."
Those scarlet eyes seemed to come from hell...
"None of you who call yourselves the Ten Rings will leave here alive," Lyon's voice seemed to come from the abyss.
In the next second, the heat rays swept across again, instantly clearing the entire corridor.
One second later, apart from Lyon, there was no other heartbeat.
Before the leader died, he understood something. His eyes, filled with unwillingness and regret, stared emptily at Lyon: ''It wasn't... Stark's laser weapon...''
With that, he completely lost his life.
Lyon shook his head silently and continued to walk out: "I told you, I am also Stark."
As soon as he exited the cave, three rockets flew towards him simultaneously.
"These Ten Rings people are really organized and dedicated. Even with such a high casualty rate, they still dare to fight back."
Lyon sighed, stretched out his hand to block the rockets.
The three rockets were blocked in succession, and the explosive flames instantly engulfed him.
Immediately followed by dense gunfire and countless grenades.
All the terrorists wished they could unleash every bit of firepower at their disposal in the shortest possible time.
When facing the monster that walked out of the cave, no amount of caution was too much.
But their ferocious expressions quickly froze.
They saw an unscathed figure leap out of the flames, ignoring the bullets flying through the air.
Not only was he unharmed, but even his long pants didn't have a single tear.
He glanced around, and suddenly his figure vanished, reappearing at the mouth of the cave in an instant.
Thud! Thud!
Then, one by one, every terrorist present fell to the ground with their necks broken.
In a very short moment, Lyon had eliminated everyone with super high speed.
He clapped his hands and shouted towards the cave, "Tony, Yinsen, the terrorists are all taken care of, come on out!"
