The next morning, Lyon appeared in his bedroom at precisely 7:00 AM.
He had spent forty days in the Resident Evil world, but only eight hours had passed in his current world.
During that month and a half, his strength had increased by 30,000 tons.
He had also made sure to provide Ada and Jill with a generous dicking—ehm—'salary' while he was there.
As his power continued to grow, the energy stored within him became increasingly vast. Going forward, every night when darkness fell, Lyon could take advantage of the time difference to travel to the Resident Evil world and further enhance his strength.
Moreover, even when traveling back and forth between the two worlds, he could always return to the exact moment he had left, as if he had never been gone.
Today, the weather in Los Angeles was particularly pleasant. The morning sunlight flowed across the ocean beneath the cliff, streaming into the house.
Since it was still early, Lyon headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Before long, Sherry emerged, rubbing her eyes. Not long after, Tony and Pepper woke up as well.
In the past, after the intense physical activity they had the previous night, the two would have ended up in the ICU the next morning. But after injecting the serum, they were completely different.
Just a few hours earlier, they had nearly torn the house apart, yet now they sat at the breakfast table, faces glowing with energy and vitality, enjoying the soup dumplings Lyon had prepared.
The atmosphere at the dining table was warm and harmonious. Lyon introduced Sherry to Pepper, and she immediately took a liking to the well-behaved young girl, playfully pinching her cheeks.
Once they had almost finished eating, Lyon brought up the topic of moving.
"You're saying you're taking Sherry and moving to New York?" Tony mumbled through a mouthful of dumpling skin, exchanging a glance with Pepper.
"That's right. The new company and organization are based there, so it'll be convenient for me to have them nearby," Lyon said as he placed the dishes into the dishwasher.
"I see, that sounds good," Tony replied, grabbing Pepper's hand across the table. "It's perfect, actually. With you gone, no one will be around to stop me from bringing beautiful women home anymore—ow!"
Pepper pinched Tony hard. "And just which beautiful woman were you planning on bringing home?"
"Oh! Who do you think I was talking about? Who else here qualifies as a beautiful woman?" Tony exclaimed dramatically, glancing at Sherry. "Of course, Sherry is a little beauty, but she doesn't count as a full-fledged beauty yet."
"Tsk" Pepper, half-annoyed and half-amused, shook her head. She could never quite handle Tony's antics. "Why is it that you're always thinking about things like this? Do you have to tease me all the time?"
"I can't help it," Tony quipped, effortlessly switching to sweet talk. "Some people are just too beautiful, yet they have no idea. I feel the need to remind them."
"Hmm? So, you were actually talking about... me?" Pepper was taken aback for a moment.
"Pepper, you haven't looked in the mirror since you injected the serum, have you?" Lyon chimed in, pulling a mirror seemingly out of nowhere and handing it to her. "Honestly, the way you look now could leave Tony utterly spellbound."
The SS serum, being a type of gene optimization and even evolutionary drug, had numerous effects, with improving one's appearance being one of the most basic side effects.
After all, when someone's genes evolve, their immune system strengthens, and their skeletal and muscular structure approaches perfection, how could they not look beautiful or handsome?
Human standards of beauty are built on the subconscious desire for advantageous genes. The more superior someone's genes, the more their appearance aligns with society's definition of beauty.
"Is this really me... Oh my god, Tony, what did you inject me with yesterday?" Pepper gasped, covering her mouth in disbelief.
She had thought the only change was her increased strength.
It was through the intense physical activity the night before that she had begun to understand the sudden surge of power within her.
Lyon had previously heard similar sentiments from Jill and Ada many times.
They told him he was like a walking incubus, someone whose mere presence exuded an irresistible allure. The moment they caught even a whiff of his naturally emanating scent, their bodies would react involuntarily, overwhelmed by desire.
They would become weak, their legs would give out, their eyes would glaze over with longing, and they'd be unable to move. This was a primal, genetic yearning.
If it weren't for Lyon constantly cloaking himself in a bio-field to dampen his aura, who knows how many women would have fallen for him.
This showed just how much genetic strength could influence personal allure.
And while the SS serum couldn't reshape someone's genetic structure to Lyon's extreme level, its effects were still impressive.
Now, Pepper had flawless fair skin, a beautifully toned figure that was just the right balance — neither too thin nor too plump — and even her freckles had completely vanished.
But she never expected that even her appearance would undergo such a drastic transformation.
The woman staring back at her in the mirror, though still faintly resembling her previous self in terms of features and aura, was now a completely upgraded version of Pepper—a flawless version!
"Hmm, now are you happy?" Tony winked playfully. "No need to thank me. After all, I couldn't tolerate my assistant being outdone by anyone else."
"Tony, thank you." Pepper had long grown accustomed to Tony's awkward way of expressing his feelings.
She gazed into Tony's eyes with pure affection, her emotions laid bare.
As the two drew closer and closer, Lyon couldn't help but interrupt with a soft cough. "Ahem, you two... Are you sure you want to start doing things in front of little Sherry that she shouldn't be seeing?"
Sherry blinked in confusion, looking up at Lyon. "What things, Brother Lyon? Why can't I see?"
Isn't it just two people hugging and fighting over grapes?
She had already seen Tony do this many times at the police station.
Cough, cough!
Tony suddenly broke into a fit of exaggerated coughing.
But Lyon's remark didn't faze Tony in the slightest.
But Sherry's innocent question immediately made things awkward.
Tony and Pepper quickly separated. Tony adjusted his sleeves to hide his embarrassment and waved Lyon off, unable to resist saying, "Alright, just go already. Weren't you planning to move? The sooner, the better! Get as far away as you can, stop hanging around here just to annoy me!"
This time, even Pepper agreed. "It's true, with only two months left until school starts in September, it would be good for you to settle in New York early."
"And besides, Stark Industries is planning to build a skyscraper in Manhattan and move the headquarters there. It'll be convenient for us to meet when that happens."
Lyon raised his hand, signaling his gratitude. "Thank you both for your approval. I'll take Sherry to check out some houses today."
"Wait a second, is it just going to be you and Sherry in the New York house?" Pepper seemed to have thought of something. She looked a bit skeptical. "Are you sure you can take care of yourself and also take care of Sherry?"
"You're still just a big kid yourself!"
No matter how grown-up children are, they always seem like kids in the eyes of their guardians.
"Maybe... I should take care of Sherry... although..." Pepper trailed off, realizing she was too busy with work to manage it herself.
"Don't worry," Lyon reassured her. "There will be other people around."
"I started a company, and there are many great women there. They'll help with taking care of Sherry."
"And besides, Sherry is very smart; she can take care of herself," Lyon pointed at Tony. "If you want more details, you can ask Tony. I won't say much more."
He patted Sherry's head, and the little girl obediently jumped off her chair, naturally grabbing his hand.
"We're leaving now. If anything comes up, contact me!" Lyon said, lifting off with Sherry. "Or, we'll see you when you get to New York!"
In the blink of an eye, the two figures, one tall and one small, disappeared from the dining room.
Even with her enhanced abilities, Pepper couldn't track Lyon's movements.
"Oh! Lyon... he's become this strong now?" Pepper's mouth opened slightly in surprise. "He's really becoming more and more like Superman."
"Yeah, yeah, he's grown up now. No need for us to worry. Now, where were we?" Tony said as he gradually moved closer to Pepper.
