The journey back to Hwang was quieter than Jeoyoon had anticipated. When they finally arrived at their manor, the atmosphere felt different—there were more servants around, and the usual hustle and bustle seemed had increased.
As they stepped out of the carriage, Jeoyoon noticed the cautious looks from the few servants present. He kept his expression composed, but inside, he felt a growing unease. Chunho, still partially hidden beneath the hat and robes, walked beside him, his presence a towering force that demanded attention.
One of the remaining servants approached, bowing deeply. "Welcome back, my sirs. Is there anything you require?"
"Nothing for now," Jeoyoon replied curtly. He glanced at Chunho, who remained silent, his golden eyes barely visible under the brim of the hat. "We will retire for the day. Make sure we're not disturbed."
The servant nodded and quickly stepped back, giving them space to enter the manor.
