Chapter 8 - on a rage

Jeoyoon's eyes fluttered open, his vision blurry as he lay on the floor. He tried to move, but a searing pain shot through his back, making him gasp. He remembered the sword plunging into his back, the figure standing over him with a cold gaze.

As he lay there, his life slowly ebbing away, Jeoyoon's thoughts turned to Kang Chunho. Why had he been attacked? Who were these men, and what did they want?

Master Qin's soft moans filled the air as Kang Chunho's hands roamed over his body. Master Kung's dark eyes gleamed with desire as he whispered sweet nothings in Kang Chunho's ear. And Master Jun's gentle touches sent shivers down Kang Chunho's spine.

But as Kang Chunho's passion reached its peak, he noticed something was off. A faint noise, a disturbance in the air, made him pause. He glanced around the room, his eyes scanning the shadows for any signs of trouble.

And then, he saw it - a flicker of movement outside the window, a shadowy figure darting out of sight.

Kang Chunho's heart raced as he pushed them away from his body, his eyes locking onto the sword that lay by his side. He grabbed it, his grip tightening as he sensed the danger that lurking.

"What's wrong?"

Master Qin pouted as he crawled towards Kang Chunho.

Kang Chunho's expression was dark as he picked up his robe, his lips pressed tightly into a frown.

"Wait," he whispered, his voice low and threatening. "Something is wrong."

Master Qin's eyes widened in surprise, Master Kung's face darkened with concern, and Master Jun's hands stilled as Kang Chunho pushed away from them.

"You three better not run, if I find out you're the cause of this and I come and don't see you… it would be disastrous for your family."

With a swift gesture, Kang Chunho flung open the door, his sword flashing in the dim light. He charged into the corridor, his heart pounding in his chest.

"One, two, three, four…"

Blood dripped out of Jeoyoon's nose and mouth as he stared at the ceiling, he could more or less understand the situation now.

Whosoever had attacked him had done so because they knew he was Kang Chunho's new pet.

He bet they wanted to take him out quickly before Chunho got attached.

Kang Chunho burst into the room, his sword still clutched in his hand. His eyes scanned the room, taking in the scene before him. And then, he saw Jeoyoon, lying on the floor in a pool of blood.

Kang Chunho's anger flared up, his blood boiling with rage. His eyes turning red as his vision blurred by a fierce fury. He strode towards Jeoyoon, his sword still clutched in his hand, his heart pounding in his chest.

He knelt beside Jeoyoon, his hand reaching out to turn him over. Jeoyoon's eyes were closed, his chest rising and falling in shallow breaths.

Ah

Jeoyoon whimpered and spat out more blood when Kang Chunho pulled out the sword.

"This…happened because of you.."

Jeoyoon managed to say before he passed out.

Kang Chunho's fury only intensified at the sight of Jeoyoon's pale face. He growled, his voice low and menacing, as he scooped up Jeoyoon in his arms.

"Ahn!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the corridors. "Ahn, come quickly!"

The servant appeared in an instant, his face pale with worry. "Master Kang, what happened?"

Kang Chunho didn't answer. He simply handed Jeoyoon over to Ahn, his eyes burning with intensity.

"See to his wounds," he ordered. "And send for the physician. Now."

Ahn nodded, his eyes fixed on Jeoyoon's bloody body, Kang Chunho turned to leave, his sword still clutched in his hand, his fury still simmering just below the surface.

Kang Chunho's eyes narrowed as he approached the grand hall. He could hear the sounds of laughter and music coming from within. His guests were still enjoying themselves.

"We should leave, the only way we'll be able to make this out alive is if we escape right now!"

Master Qin quickly picked up his robes and wore them, he knew Chunho wouldn't kill him before he was the emperor's son but he couldn't say the same thing about Master Kang or Master Jun.

"As long as that pest is finally gone, Gu Jeoyoon would have been a real obstacle if he were still a noble.."

Master Jun wore his robes and hat, and they all wanted to leave but thinking about Kang Chunho, their feet seemed to have minds of their own and wouldn't move.

"You," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "You three. You did this, didn't you?"

Master Qin's smile faltered, Master Kung's eyes darkened, and Master Jun's face paled. But it was too late. Kang Chunho had already seen the guilt in their eyes.

"All of you," he repeated, his voice rising in anger. "You all planned this together, didn't you?"

Master Qin shrugged, a cold smile spreading across his face. "We saw an opportunity, and we took it," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "You were getting too attached to that little pet of yours. We needed to remind you of your priorities."

Kang Chunho's anger boiled over, his sword flashing in the light as he raised it. "I'm angry," he growled, his voice low and deadly. "I'm so angry."

Master Kung and Master Jun exchanged a nervous glance, but Master Qin simply laughed, his eyes glinting with amusement. "You can't kill us, well me at least… I'm the one person you won't be able to kill"

he said, his voice dripping with confidence.

Kang Chunho's eyes narrowed, his anger burning brighter with every passing moment.

"Ha! Injo…how could you be this dim-witted, you're nothing but the emperor's favored love child, sure I can't kill you so I'll make your life a living nightmare until you beg for death and then I will end your life with my own two hands.."

Kang Chunho took a sip of the wine, licking his lips before saying "You have a three-second head start, get back to your manors before I do because if you don't I'll take the life of everyone and anyone I see.."
