"True but you're too adorable, what do I do.."
Kang Chunho chuckled and placed his hands behind his back, heading for th door.
"A bath has been prepared for you, you'll have lunch with me and then we can discuss after..."
Kang Chunho smiled and strolled out of the room. Jeoyoon sighed, as he stroked the bed, he really missed the life filled with luxury and servants crawling at his feet.
"Oh and Jeoyoon there's some clothes over there, wear them when you're done with your bath.."
Gu Jeoyoon followed Chunho's pointed finger and saw the red clothing on the table.
"Thank you.."
Jeoyoon smiled, he didn't know why he was being so nice to him but he would use it to his advantage and enjoy this little moment of luxury.
After Kang Chunho left, Jeoyoon heard a gruff voice.
"Master Jeoyoon, I'm here lead you to the wash room.."
"My name is Ahn. I'll be attending to your needs while you're here."
"Thank you, Ahn," Jeoyoon replied, trying to sound gracious. "I appreciate your service."
As he walked, Jeoyoon couldn't help but think about Kang Chunho's words. A bath, lunch, and then a discussion about his future. What did Chunho have planned for him? And why was he being so kind and generous to a former noble turned servant like himself?
Jeoyoon pushed the thoughts aside, deciding to simply enjoy the moment and take advantage of the luxury that was being offered to him. He followed Ahn to a large wash room, where a steaming hot bath waited for him. Jeoyoon's eyes widened as he saw the delicate porcelain vases and the intricately woven silk fabrics that adorned the room.
"Ah, sir, this is the master's personal wash room, everything you need should be here," Ahn said, gesturing to the various supplies. "If you need anything else, just let me know."
"Thank you, Ahn," Jeoyoon said again, feeling a sense of indulgence wash over him.
As he soaked in the water, Jeoyoon felt some of the tension and stress of the past few weeks begin to melt away. He closed his eyes, letting the warmth and comfort of the bath seep into his bones.
After what felt like an eternity, Jeoyoon finally emerged from the bath, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. He donned the clothing that had been left for him, feeling the softness of the fabric and the weight of the embroidered silk.
"Ah, sir, you look quite dashing," Ahn said, bowing slightly as Jeoyoon emerged from the bathroom.
Jeoyoon smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards the servant, he was also a servant, he had no idea why he was being so kind to him. "Thank you, Ahn. You've been very kind to me and yes I do look dashing don't I? Haha"
Ahn smiled despite being spoilt by the master, he was glad Jeoyoon didn't let it go to his head.
"Master Jeoyoon if you don't mind me asking, how old are you?"
"27, it feels like yesterday I was still 17 going to the mountains and hunting for boars, I don't do that anymore...my poor back hurts.."
Ahn chuckled he was in no position to tell Jeoyoon that he was too young for backaches as he had the same issues as well.
"I also don't go hunting as well, I busted my knees during my last hunt.."
Jeoyoon raised a brow and turned to face Ahn "Your injury may I see it? Does it hurt when it's cold?"
Ahn's face widened in surprised as he nodded, how did Jeoyoon know, was he a physician?
"How did you know, master Jeoyoon are you a physician? You could have gotten a good job why be a servant?"
Jeoyoon chuckled and placed his hands behind his back.
"Because I'm not a good person, how can a bad person save lives? However I do have some medical knowledge, my grandmother was a physician so I learnt some things under her. What you're feeling is probably cold knees. If you can get me some chillbane, emberroot, morning dew and ignis I can whip up a remedy for you .."
Ahn eyes widened "You'll really do that for me master Jeoyoon? Thank you so much sir, I'll head into the market and find the prices of herbs and then find some extra jobs to earn some money.."
"...."
"He doesn't pay you? Your wages should be able to afford those herbs or do you have a family to raise?"
Ahn scratched his head, nobody dared to ask the master for wages and the master never bothered to give them.
"Don't tell me he's that stingy? I do understand most noblemen think it's unwise to pay their servants but I think it's rather foolish not to, during winter they're not going to provide padded clothes for them, the little money they have on hand certainly goes a long way..."
"The master has been very nice to us, I don't have a family so I save however little I can. He has a saying, **Ask and you shall be given** but we don't dare to ask.."
Gu Jeoyoon nodded after all as servants they were not supposed to ask but they whatever they're given.
"I guess Chunho can be considered as nice, my father didn't let the servants live a peaceful life and thus they all abandoned him during his time of need. They abandoned my mother as well after she had done so much for them.."
Gu Jeoyoon smiled, no matter their ranks they could only accept whatever life threw at them.
"I'm sorry that happened to you master Jeoyoon, you must have treated them with care and they abandoned you in your time of need. In the previous manor I worked in, the other servants all pinned the blame on me when the master's robes had disappeared, I got beaten up and thrown out. That's when the master found me.."
Gu Jeoyoon stopped walking when he saw the figure up head, he turned to Ahn beckoning him to scram before Kang Chunho got to where they were.
"These robes look nice on you, I see my pet being well taken care of.."
