Venerable readers, this is a good read.
A flash of light caused Renee and the Nightmare Nurse to shield their eyes for a second until they found John, Chas, a beautiful lady, and an attractive man in black in the room suddenly.
The Nightmare Nurse had questions, but once she saw the small orb next to the man in black, she gasped a bit and pointed at it, causing Renee's eyes to look at what she pointed at.
It was just an orb of light, but tears streamed down Renee's eyes as she could tell already that it was her daughter; it was more than a feeling—it was a mother's instinct!
"Alright John, you've got yourself a lot of explaining to do!" Chas began but was ignored by John, who looked up at the man in black.
"Return," the Slayer said as the Nightmare Nurse understood the cue and let down her defences to let the soul pass freely and into Trish's body.
Renee couldn't hold herself and rushed to the bed and hugged her daughter's body who had yet to respond until a cough was heard from Trish, who opened her eyes to behold her mother, who was a teary mess.
Chas looked at the Slayer with a nod of appreciation and left to join his family.
"Thank you, sir," Renee turned toward the Slayer and gestured towards The Nightmare Nurse to do the same.
"I will forget the things you did, John," Renee said and turned towards her daughter.
"Sure. Why not pour me a tea while you're at it, Renee?" John said as his nerves finally calmed but he still felt unsatisfied.
"Alright now, who are you? How did you do that?" The Queen of Angels thought it was better to ask now since the family were reuniting and she couldn't hold herself back anymore.
"Let's go," the Slayer said after he noticed the Queen of Angel's form dissipating slowly. She was an entity of the city of Los Angeles itself; she couldn't stay away for long.
The trio, consisting of the Slayer, John, and the Queen of Los Angeles, left the room as quickly as they had arrived previously and appeared at Nergal's destroyed manor.
"Where's that bloody snake? I want to pack the arsehole up like a cig," John asked with fiery determination on his face.
"I have a use for Nergal; then you can have him," the Slayer answered while hovering a few inches above the ground.
The Queen of Angels just stood there with her arms folded, frowning at the Slayer, expecting something.
"Oh. I am the Slayer," the Slayer answered after catching her expression.
'Geez, I never thought about how to introduce myself in these types of situations. THE SLAYER? It doesn't say much,' the Slayer thought.
"The Slayer, eh? What's that supposed to mean?" the Queen of Angels asked.
'Might I suggest expressing yourself as a new god, as your power levels even when restricted are still leaps and bounds above their perception,' Fred's system suggested in his mind.
'Some people are better off not knowing, but that's not a bad idea,' Fred answered in thought.
"Is it not common etiquette to introduce yourself first?" the Slayer asked.
"Touche. I am Angela, the Queen of Angels. The spiritual embodiment of Los Angeles," Angela said, introducing herself.
"You can consider me a traveller. I slay powerful demons regularly, hence the name," the Slayer introduced himself.
"A traveller, huh? Not something else? You seem really powerful to just be a traveller, Slayer," Angela said, pacing her words slowly as she walked towards the Slayer.
"I just said I slay powerful demons," the Slayer answered.
"My city needs your kind of expertise. It's infested with those vile things," Angela purred.
"That's why you have good ol' Johnny here," the Slayer smiled, pointing at John.
"Johnny? When was I last called that? Anyway, where is Nergal?" John asked.
"Here," the Slayer said as a portal opened before them and a scream that sounded like someone was falling was heard until Nergal fell out of the portal, hitting the ground with a crunch sound.
"I have been falling... FOR THIRTY F*CKING MINUTES!" Nergal couldn't stress his experience inside the portal he was sucked into earlier.
"F*ck! It's you again! And John..." Nergal straightened himself upon seeing the Slayer but was more annoyed seeing John than anything.
"I am here, you know," Angela said behind the Slayer's back.
Rolling his eyes, Nergal looked to the Slayer, expecting a deal of some sort, seeing that he was still alive.
"I want you to open a portal to hell for me," the Slayer asked nicely.
John and Angela were shocked at that request, but then they knew nothing about the man in black aside from the fact he introduced himself as a traveller and a slayer of powerful demons.
"You can start here if you want to slay demons. I can make it worth your while, Slayer," Angela said while grabbing the arm of the Slayer and leaning in closely.
"As tempting as that offer is, I have business down there," the Slayer said while keeping Nergal in his sight.
"I can do that for you. Let me just talk with this sob," John asked as magical circles formed around his hands.
Nergal smiled, happy that he was still of use and tried to see how he could turn the situation in his favour.
In the next instant, Nergal found himself choking, but nothing was holding him as his body rose above the ground, leaving his tail hanging mid-air much to the fright of John and Angela, who backed away from the Slayer.
"I won't ask again," the Slayer said and attacked Nergal's soul with a finger flick from where he stood.
"Aargh! You monster! I will remember this!" Nergal coughed and swirled his hand until a portal opened.
The Slayer studied everything about the portal and registered it easily thanks to his techno-magic being active already on the planet.
"Wait! Please wait, Slayer! He still has Astra!" John cried out.
