the seconds ticked by as jin stood there in front of tina inside the forest. under the shadow of a banyan tree. If only tina was not bounded by the ropes anyone before the Apocalypse might think that they were a pair of lovers who were whispering sweet nothings to each other in secrecy. But jin knew what kind of a terrifying person tina was and to be honest with himself, he had no such plans for the girl; at least, not now. And he wasn't Stoopid enough that he would antagonise tina for such a useless thing.
In his thoughts he didn't realize that how the seconds ticked by as from the initial sixty he only had 35 seconds left.
He quickly pooled out a chock from his pockets and started drawing a circle around the Banyan tree. The circle was a roon he knew. Jin was also a great roonmaster back in the Cultivator realm and now when the time presented itself, he used the power of his roons to its fullest.
The roon jin was drawing with the chock was of a restrictive type roon which will make any existence below the first auder feel weak. He could have drawn the roon directly on tina's body but that would've permanently damaged tina's strength which would be a huge blow to jin as tina was a valuable asset for jin with her fire manipulation powers.
'10, 9, 8, … 3, 2, 1… tina is now waking-up. The quest is initiating…'
Jin heard this notification inside his head as he pulled out his sword out of its sheath and directly put it on tina's neck hoping that when she wakes up, she would immediately feel oppressed under jinn's threat.
Tina started to wake up as the countdown of the Mutation records reached zero and the notification about initiating the quest begins.
The roon jin Drue would not work until it gathers energy from the atmosphere so he had to control tina till then. He prepared for what could be called as his most oppressive fight in ages! Never once had he thought that he, the strongest Cultivator of the Cultivator realm would draw a roon to control a weakling! But this was the grim reality in front of him.
He saw with his eyes that Tina woke up from her slumber, looking around in daze. At least, she tried to look around, but she was not able to move her neck because something was put against her neck. When she realized what it was, instead of panicking, she smirked and bright yellow fire started to glow around her intensely as she disappeared from her place in an instant and the sword jin had placed on her neck remained hanging in the air harmlessly.
Jin frowned when he saw his 'not' so carefully crafted plan crumple before his eyes but he had learned that if he does not want to die very soon he has to calm his emotions at all times so instead of panicking, he manipulated his sword with the skill chain whip ii and the sword was launched in the air like a projectile was thrown in the air and when the sword was just about to reach tina, it got covered with blood and it's speed got increased by several times.
Booooooom! The sword struck with a resounding force which clearly pushed tina back for several meters but jin was horrified because he saw a dome of fire covering tina and no harm was brought to the girl.
Jin had attacked tina but he failed in subduing her with pure force alone but now, it seemed as it was now tina's turn to fight back and protect herself. The strange glass bottle came out once again out of her storage ring and deep red flames surrounded her whole body as her speed was increased by several nauches; and with a stance filled with rage she lunged towards jin and when she was just about to reach jin, a sword appeared in her hand and she swung it with full force towards jin.
The dark-red flames covered the sword completely before it reached jin and finally when it reached him, there was only one noise to be heard in the immediate
vicinity.
Boooooooooooooooooooooooom! At the last moment when the sword was just about to strike him head on jin used parry to minimise the damage, he received but despite parrying the attack, it still managed to make him fly back for a hundred-meters before colliding with a large tree and breaking his bones in the process.
Jin could've never thought even in his wildest dreams that tina would be this horrifying to fight against! Jin Talen, once the strongest Cultivator of the Cultivator realm was unable to fight against a person who he had said a weakling just some moments ago.
But ignoring what could've happened if he would be in the cultivator realm, jin focussed on the current fight with tina who was a complete monster in herself with her fire manipulation ability.
"Wait! Fire maker, blood maker, blood manipulation! I also have a manipulation type skill!" jin suddenly realized an important thing which he was not able to understand before.
Jin does not realize but when he was busy in thinking this, tina had sneaked-up on him and her sword was just about to reach his neck to finally kill jin forever.
But before she could strike with her sword, jins whole body started glowing in red colour and his body also started to get covered with thick and hardened blood giving his body an extra layer of protection.
Out of thirty, 5 had already passed which meant that jin had 25 minutes more against tina. After her devastating attack which had thrown jin back a hundred meters, jin was not so sure that he could contain her for ten minutes more let alone a whole 25. But he also knew that he now had an opportunity to learn and increase his efficiency with the blood manipulation ability.
Tina's ability, fire maker was not fire manipulation but the applications of both skills were the same although a little bit different. And jins' ability was blood manipulation and the maker skill with similar properties was a great chance for jin to learn and create new applications of using it.
Jin does not want to risk another attack by tina, so he quickly activated sky steps and jumped in the air and like he was flying, he moved in the air just like the ground and completely avoided the attack successfully escaping from its effect range.
Jin now had an hight advantage in front of tina so he did not let this chance go and launched several arrows, spikes and swords towards her at a frightening speed towards tina. The spikes and the swords failed to hit her because her speed was also fast, but it was impossible to dodge this many swords and spikes so may be around ten-twenty grazed her skin before harmlessly falling on to the ground and converting back to its liquid form.
Piercing minor chi!
Jin used his skill and directed a blast of sword chi towards tina who deflected the attack almost effortlessly.
But when she was parrying the attack, she had to constantly divide her attention between parrying and maintaining her focus to empower her body with the element of flames because there was no way that she is fast like jin without it. For a moment, her concentration broke and the fire around her dimmed. Utilising the rare opportunity he had gotten; jin plunged his sword in tina's back which pierced 3-centimeters deep inside her back and red blood started coming out of her body in waves.
Jin could not let this happen because even if he was fighting tina now, he would not let her die because she was a person jin needed in order to fight the Apocalypse so he used blood manipulation to control the blood flow in her body and stop it from gushing outside.
As jin tried to control tina's bloodstream, he does not know why, but he found it a little difficult to control tina's blood flow. Not only it was consuming more of his mana but also putting a great mental strain on his mind which even prevented him from moving if he wants to continue like this but jin knew that continuing like this was nothing but a certain doom so he just decided that he would just reduce the output of the blood he controls so he would have an easier time handling the mental strain.
He used his ability and in seconds, the blood Coming out of her body decreased by a lot but for jin, it was still hard to do multiple tasks simultaneously. But the seconds he spent in controlling tina's blood flow it was enough for tina who was maddened temporarily to gain a leverage against him. She used her sword and a large projectile of sword chi rushed out of her body striking jins chest in a vertical angle.
Jin had seen this move being used before or at least, the lesser version of it. This move was called Vertical slash which tina got just some hours ago while fighting with the berserked people of his base. But jin couldn't've thought that this move was capable enough that if jin had not parried in time, half of his already low health would have been further halved which would leave jin at a disadvantage which he was already in.
tina had failed another attempt at harming jin which made her furious. For the first time in their fight, she spoke something---" you… will not liv another five minutes. How dare you decide what you can do with other people's lives! I am not, or never will be your pon! Prepare to die, the great jin Talen… hahahaha!"
she laughed maniacally which reverberated in the whole forest carrying with it a power which up-rooted some trees… but jin remained unaffected by all this.
Tina's body started to glow in red colour and the strange bottle started glowing in the same colour as well; she was preparing for a devastating very powerful attack which had the power to instantly kill him if it hits.
