The cat replied, "Host, you ask so many questions, as if I can understand everything all at once. But fine, I can understand, so I will answer them one by one in the format you asked."
Zhang Lian nodded.
The cat explained, "The host system bound itself to you simply because you happened to be passing by at that moment."
As for who created me? "It's not a living being that created me. Instead, it's more like thoughts, feelings, and emotions that are coming from different dimensions of time and space, etc., might have created me."
The cat continued, "The boundary between different dimensions is vast, connecting to an infinite dimension. Within the boundary, numerous systems like me are born, but like me, they are also unable to communicate or act, merely floating in the boundaries. I don't know much about them, but I was sealed within this system, feeling bored and lonely."
Zhang Lian thought about what the cat said. She, too, once was trapped in a womb for six months, and it was horrible; she could feel the cat's pain.
She said, "So, that's why you like to stay outside."
The cat continued, "As for my purpose, it's to be free and completely break away from the system. And you, host," it said, pointing its claw at Zhang Lian, "can help me achieve that."
Zhang Lian looked at the cat, puzzled. "Me?" she asked, pointing to herself.
"Yes, host," the cat confirmed. "Once you become strong enough, you'll be able to break the system's shackles on me.
Then, I'll be free, and I can be seen and touched by others. I can finally eat food and play." The cat's eyes sparkled with hope, clearly waiting for the day when it could experience the world beyond its shackles.
The cat explained, "As for how the system has so many resources, it's because it absorbed the laws of heaven and earth when it entered this dimension. This gave it access to a vast amount of resources. It's like a bug in a game—accessing this 'bug' requires following certain steps, and one of those steps is to use NP or SP."
The cat continued, "The 'bug' essentially consists of a shop-like feature that can only be accessed by you. You need to earn points to buy things from this shop, which ties into the core values of the system on which it was created, and that is baby-making, absorption, etc.
Additionally, I have so much information about everything because this world's knowledge was granted to me when the system absorbed them. This knowledge is a result of that absorption process."
Zhang Lian nodded in understanding.
The cat responded, "Regarding your last question about whether there are other systems or people like you in the current dimensions, the chances are very slim. It's not only necessary to cross your soul through a system to retain your memories of your last life, but you also need to meet specific system requirements.
Most systems are very small, and there are infinite dimensions, so if a system is even just one inch away from me, or even less than an inch, it will go into a different dimension if it encounters a host who meets the conditions.
As for what those conditions are, I'm not entirely sure. It seems quite random, and I have a feeling it's more about chance than any specific criteria."
Zhang Lian felt sympathy for the cat. "I never thought of it that way. I always assumed system was just a tool. But you're more than that? You're with your own story & your own struggles."
The cat's ears twitched slightly, and it looked away, as if trying to hide its emotions. "Thank you, host. But let's focus on what we need to do next. We have a lot of work ahead of us."
Zhang Lian smiled faintly, lying back down on the bed. "Yeah, we do. But at least we're in this together."
As she closed her eyes, she felt a strange sense of comfort, knowing that she wasn't alone in this world as she had once thought.
Zhang Lian sighed, looking at the floating system screen in front of her. The familiar words floated in front of her.
\[ System: Baby-Making System
Shop
Newbie Pack!
Price: 49 NP \]
She muttered, "If only it were free... it would be much better." The thought of spending her hard-earned points, but she knew now that the system had its own rules.
As she off the screen with a her thoughts, Zhang Lian's tiredness began to catch up to her. She let out a small yawn, stretching her arms above her head. "Okay, I need to rest now. I'm tired after all that traveling."
The cat nodded, understanding her need for sleep. "Okay, boss," it replied, its tiny wings fluttering as it flew closer to her.
It circled her head once before settling down beside her on the bed, curling up into a small ball of fur.
Zhang Lian smiled at the sight, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort as she reached out, gently placing her hand on the cat's soft body.
With the cat nestled close to her, Zhang Lian shifted on the bed, finding a comfortable position.
She pulled the covers up to her shoulders, letting the fabric feel her soft, white skin. Her eyes grew heavy as she relaxed into the bed.
Her long hair spread out across the pillow. The rise and fall of her chest, the peaceful expression on her face dripping with saliva, and the way her lips looked while she slept were so cute and beautiful.
.....
Morning… ☀️
Zhang Lian could no longer stay in her deep sleep as the sun's constant heat forced her to wake up.
The room was like a furnace, the heat of the sun growing stronger every minute as it passed through the window.
Sweat was coming out of her skin, creating a sweat stream down her face, neck, and the main parts around her body.
Previously nice clothes now tightly stick to her body and weight with sweat, nearly becoming transparent and allowing faintly her white undergarments to be seen.
She sat up. "Ahh, it's too hot," she muttered, her voice filled with the trouble of her disturbed sleep.
Zhang Lian felt itchy across her skin, left by the constant bites of mosquitoes. She tried to relieve the irritation by rubbing her hands over it.
Normally, the maid would have taken care of this—closing the window to block the sunlight, putting up the netting to keep the bugs away, or lighting some ("moxa stick") to drive the mosquitoes out. But now, living on her own, she had to do everything herself.
"She sat up and murmured, "Ugh, ouch," scratching her arm. She was going crazy from the itching and the heat. She turned to face the cat, which was still sleeping up cozy at the bed.
With a movement, she reached out and shook it. "Hey, wake up! Don't you feel hot? Aren't you getting bitten by mosquitoes too?" she complained, scratching at her neck.
The cat stretched lazily, blinking its orange eyes open. It yawned, not a care in the world, and then replied, "No, host. No one other than you can touch me, not even the sunlight."
Zhang Lian frowned, pausing her scratching to glare at the cat. "Then how the hell are you sleeping on the bed without a problem?" Her frustration is clear in her voice.
The cat smirked, as much as a cat could, and flicked its tail. A light blue screen appeared beneath it, glowing faintly—a system screen. Look at me clearly, "Am I really on the bed? No, I'm sleeping on the system screen," the cat spoke.
Zhang Lian stared at the screen, then back at the cat, her irritation giving way to disbelief. "Are you kidding me?" she mumbled, still scratching at an itchy spot on her leg. She watched as the cat gave a leisurely stretch, completely at ease, not a single mosquito bite.
"Zhang Lian complained, shaking her head, "Must be nice to be you," as she dragged herself out of bed.
Zhang Lian extended her arms above her head. Even though she was exhausted from the heat, she was still able to straighten her clothing and smooth out the wrinkles before getting on her feet and putting on her white shoes. The cat jumped down to follow after her.
The house was quiet, the wooden floor was hot as she walked down in the hallway. She needed to pee, and the washroom was somewhere, so she searched.
She finally found the door, a heavy piece of wood with carvings. It made a sound as she pushed it open. The washroom inside was small, the stone walls cool and rough.
In the corner sat a simple chamber pot. A small window let in a bit of light.
As she stepped inside, her cat followed, its eyes glowing in the dim light. but Zhang Lian shook her head, and said "Stay out," closing the door behind her with a fast speed a bang sound came.
She sighed, lifting her skirt slowly, her white underwear. With a quick speed, she pulled them down, feeling the cool air there. She then, squatted over the pot and started peeing.
Relief washed over her as she started to pee, the sound soft in the quiet room.
Her eyes closed for a moment, letting the tension slip away. Outside the door, the cat waited patiently.
—
She came out after relieving herself and then she went where her uncle was staying,
As she approached his door, it swung open on its own.
Zhang Lian wasn't surprised; after all, uncle is a cultivator. Inside, Li Feng sat in a meditation posture, looking as calm and composed as ever. His eyes opened slightly, and he offered her a gentle smile.
"How was your sleep?" he asked, his voice low and soothing. But as his gaze swept over her, his expression shifted over her body.
With his enhanced cultivator senses, he noticed the sweat all around her skin and the red marks left by the mosquitoes.
He sighed inwardly, realizing that while he was a Cultivator, his niece was still a mortal. He understood that in the past, maids would have taken care of these simple tasks for her.
But, Now she is alone and has to manage them herself.
Li Feng stood up, his robes flowing gracefully as he moved closer to Zhang Lian.
Without a word, he raised a hand and cast a purification spell over her. The air moved around her, and she felt a cool, refreshing sensation wash over her body. The sweat evaporates instantly, leaving her skin clean and cool.
However, the red mosquito marks remained on her white skin.
"Better?" Li Feng asked, his tone softening. He could see the relief in her eyes.
Zhang Lian nodded, grateful for the small comfort. "Thank you, Uncle," she said quietly. "I was going to ask if I could have another pill. I'm hungry."
Li Feng nodded, in understanding her needs. "Of course," he said softly.
He took out another pill from his storage bag and handed her the same small, brown pill as yesterday.
Zhang Lian, without hesitation, quickly took it. Just like before, her body reacted immediately and became full. Next Li Feng channeled his spiritual energy, a glass came into his hand from the table , and he cast a spell, filling it with water.
Zhang Lian immediately snatched the glass from his hand, bringing it to her red lips. She drank all the water in a single gulp, then let out a satisfied smile. "Ahh, finally," she murmured, her voice filled with relief. "I was thirsty for a long time."
After some moments..
"Now, I want to ask you something important," Li Feng said, his voice carrying a sign of seriousness. He paused for a moment, his eyes locking onto hers. "Do you want to become a queen?"
