They doctor wanted to speak to them privately and they went outside.

Jack turned to Doctor Sam, his eyes filled with concern. "Is our unborn child okay?"

Doctor Sam's expression turned reassuring. "It was a close call, but your baby is safe. Nothing happened."

Jack's tension eased slightly, but his worry remained.

"The baby's vital signs are normal," Doctor Sam continued. "We've monitored them closely."

Jack nodded, his eyes scanning the doctor's face for any hidden concerns.

Doctor Sam handed him a form. "You'll need to sign this consent form for Aria's treatment."

Jack took the form, scanning it carefully before signing.

"Are you her husband?" Doctor Sam asked.

Jack hesitated. "No, I'm her fiancé."

Doctor Sam nodded. "In that case, you'll also need to sign this affidavit, granting you permission to make medical decisions on Aria's behalf."

Jack nodded, taking the affidavit and signing it.

Mrs. Hilda stepped forward, her voice laced with concern. "What happened to Aria? How did she fall?"

Doctor Sam hesitated, choosing his words carefully. "The prison officials are investigating. We're not entirely sure what happened."

Mrs Hilda's eyes narrowed. "Was she attacked?"

Doctor Sam's expression remained neutral. "We're waiting for the investigation results."

Jack's jaw clenched, his mind racing with possibilities.

Mrs. Hilda placed a reassuring hand on Jack's arm. "Aria will be fine, Jack. She's strong."

Jack's eyes never left the door, hoping for Aria to recover.

"When can I see her?" Jack asked.

Doctor Sam nodded. "She's stable. You can see her soon."

The silence that followed was filled with anticipation and worry.

Jack smiled, picking up the phone call.

" Leo have you found anything yet," Jack said, his voice warm.

"We've got five days to gather evidence," Leo replied, his tone urgent. "We just need a lawyer."

"I know someone who can help," Jack said confidently, jotting down a note.

He listened intently as Jack outlined their plan.

"Keep digging, I'll get the lawyer on board," Jack instructed.

Ending the call, Jack opened the hospital room door.

Aria stood up, her eyes locking onto his.

She rushed into his arms, embracing him tightly.

"I don't want to stay in that cruel place anymore," she whispered, tears streaming down her face.

Jack pulled her closer, his arms wrapping around her.

"I promise, we'll get you out in five days," he whispered, his voice filled with conviction.

Aria pulled away, her eyes red-rimmed.

"Tell me what happened," Jack asked gently.

Aria took a deep breath.

"Those three women... they attacked me," she began.

"Tasha's their leader. And Aiden's the mastermind behind it all."

Jack's expression darkened.

"We'll take care of them," he vowed.

Aria's gaze turned determined.

"Get me a dagger," she said, her voice firm.

Jack raised an eyebrow.

"What do you need it for?" he asked.

Aria's eyes flashed.

"For protection. I won't let them hurt me or our baby again."

Jack hesitated, then handed her the dagger.

Aria gazed out the window, her eyes burning with resolve.

"I'll teach them a lesson," she vowed.

Jack hugged her from behind.

"I'm always here for you," he whispered.

Aria turned, her eyes flashing.

"I can handle myself, Jack. And protect our baby."

Jack's hands remained on her waist.

"Of course, I know you're strong, Aria," he said.

"But please, be careful. I couldn't bear losing you."

Aria smiled.

"I will," she promised.

They hugged each other tightly.

Their love and determination fueled their resolve to overcome the challenges ahead.

As they held each other, Jack knew they would face whatever came next, together.

Night descended, shrouding the city in darkness.

Mrs. Hilda burst into the hospital room, urgency etched on her face.

"The Inspector General is here with the officers," she announced.

"They've come to take Aria away."

Jack and Aria stood up, hands intertwined.

Aria turned to Mrs. Hilda, gratitude in her eyes.

"Thank you for being here for Jack," Aria said.

Mrs. Hilda's expression softened.

"No, thank you, Aria," Mrs. Hilda replied.

"For bringing light into Jack's life."

"I'll help you both in any way I can."

Jack wrapped his arms around Aria.

"Just hold on a little longer," he whispered.

Aria smiled, nodding.

The door swung open, and an officer entered.

"Time to go," he said gently.

The officer gently took Aria's hand.

Jack released her reluctantly.

Aria looked back at Jack.

"I love you," she mouthed.

"I love you too," Jack replied.

The officer led Aria out.

They walked to the waiting Jeep.

Aria glanced back at Jack.

He stood tall, determination etched on his face.

The Jeep doors slammed shut.

The vehicle sped away.

Jack watched until the taillights vanished.

Mrs. Hilda placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"We'll get her back, Jack."

Jack's resolve hardened.

"We will."

The night swallowed the Jeep, leaving Jack and Mrs. Hilda with only hope.

Inside the mansion, Daniel lay beside Ivy, smiling warmly as he watched her sleep. Her gentle breathing and peaceful expression filled him with contentment.

He gently eased out of bed, not wanting to disturb her. But Ivy's hand instinctively grasped his, her fingers intertwining with his.

"Stay a little longer," she whispered, her eyes still closed, her voice barely audible.

Daniel settled back, his body relaxing into the mattress. Ivy's head nestling into his shoulder, her warmth seeping into him.

Together, they drifted into a peaceful sleep.

Elsewhere in the mansion, Leah paced anxiously, her footsteps echoing through the hallway. She couldn't shake off the feeling of unease.

She spotted Mrs. Hilda and Jack returning, the evening shadows casting a somber mood.

"Welcome back," Leah said, approaching them.

Mrs. Hilda headed to the kitchen. "I need to prepare dinner. It's been a long day."

Jack nodded, his expression weary.

Leah's concern shifted to Leo's absence. "Where's Leo?" she asked, her voice laced with worry.

Jack reassured her with a gentle smile. "Don't worry, everything's fine. Leo's helping me with Aria's release."

Leah's eyes narrowed. "What's going on?"

"We're gathering evidence," Jack explained. "Leo's doing great work."

Jack's confident tone eased Leah's worries, but she couldn't shake off the lingering unease.

"I'll go check on some things," Jack said. "Try not to worry."

With his hands in his pockets, Jack headed upstairs, leaving Leah alone in the sitting room.

Leah watched him go, then returned to gazing out the door, her eyes scanning the darkness.

She longed for Leo's safe return, her heart beating with anticipation.

The mansion's grandeur faded into the background, replaced by thoughts of Leo.

The darkness outside seemed to stretch on forever, and Leah's eyes remained fixed on the door.

Waiting.

The next morning, the mansion's silence was broken by the soft creak of the front door.

Leo stepped inside, a brown envelope clutched in his hand.

Ivy, already dressed, was heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for herself and Daniel.

As she descended the stairs, she spotted Leo.

A warm smile spread across her face.

Leo's gaze fell on Leah, sleeping on the couch.

Her eyes were sunken, her face etched with worry.

Leo's heart swelled with affection.

Leah stirred, opening her eyes to find Leo standing before her.

A radiant smile lit up her face.

"Leo!" she exclaimed, rushing into his arms.

He enveloped her in a tight hug.

"I'm back," he whispered.

Leah held him close, relief washing over her.

Ivy continued to the kitchen, happy to see the reunion.

"Come upstairs and freshen up," Leah said.

"I'll prepare a meal for you."

Leo nodded, still clutching the brown envelope.

"Thank you," he said.

Together, they headed upstairs.

Leah's eyes never left Leo's face.

"I was worried sick," she admitted.

Leo's expression softened.

"I'm sorry," he said.

"I'm safe now."

As they reached their room, Leah took Leo's hand.

"Get changed," she said.

"I'll bring your breakfast up."

Leo smiled.

"Thank you," he repeated.

The brown envelope remained clutched in his hand.
