Chapter 1 - ACT I - Aspra ♤

The year is 529, a year of peace. In the capital of Kitrino lies the king's gloomy castle. History is about to be made, as the firstborn child of king Ble is about to be born. [- Aspra mavra, the black flame sorceress.]

[Year 529, March 14th - The black flame sorceress is born.

Year 529, February 14th - The white flame sorcerer is born.]

Wealthy, extravegant Noble's are all gathered around a spectating room, all observing the birthgiving.

["She wont make it."] Whispers a noblewoman.

["Its a lost cause."] Whispers another.

A big, burly man listens in as everyone takes in the horrific sight taking place infront of them - that man is king Ble, ruler of Kitrino.

A baby's crying can be heard, alongside the screams of a mother enduring the pain of labor.

[- Queen Galazia, mother of the black sorceress.]

She's filled with fear and misery.

["I dont want to give birth, i want to die."] She tells herself.

Onlookers can only watch as the doctors do their best to resuscitate her, but at last, they prioritize the child before they even consider looking onto her.

Her endurance is pushed to its limits, until she breaks, the battle taking her life.

The room is quiet, empty and cold.

The only thing heard is the subtle crying of a newborn girl, a single strand of coppery red hair.

[Year 536, November 26th.]

In the middle of the forest lies a decemated patch of land, any creatures that dare step inside this boundary instantly burns away in a corrupted black fire. In the middle of this patch of land, sits a young girl, Aspra, currently in the middle of training her strength and endurance in the art of magic.

She feels a peculiar presence inside her barrier, its not dying like the other animals and plant life.

Little Aspra finds a young boy avoiding her black flame barrier, sitting down infront of a tree stump and carving into it.

His hair is burning white, a trait she instantly recognizes from the stories her father has installed in her. its unsettling to stare at it. She knows who this is.

She approaches warily, not risking being seen, and observes him carefully. As she tries to get a good look into what he's carving, she steps on a twig, the young boy instantly whipping his head around, catching her standing behind him.

The young boy looks up at her in awe.

["Hey! Are you the one who set up this barrier around here?"] He says with a glint in his eye.

Aspra steps back skeptically, but keeps her composure.

["Y-yeah, i am."] She says, her tone indifferent.

The boy jumps up and grabs her hands excitedly.

[ "Thats so cool! You have to show me how to do that!"]

Aspra yanks her hands away, crossing her arms and turning around to avoid staring at him.

["Hhmpf. As if. Why would i teach you my magic?"]

The boy quickly jumps over her and turns around to face her once more.

["Because it seems so powerful and awesome!"] He says praisingly.

Aspra looks down at him with a mix of annoyance and intrigue, confused on his motives.

["Forget it."] She turns around once more.

["Whats your name?"]

The boy runs around her to face her again.

["My name is Falu!"]

Aspra walks closer, hands behind her back.

["Okay Falu, tell me, how are you avoiding my barrier?"]

Falu looks confused.

["My magic simply cut through it!"]

Aspra puts a hand behind her back, beginning to build up and condense her magic.

["That can't be possible, im the black flame sorcreress! Nothing can simply cut through my flames!"] She says irritated.

Falu creates a white flame in his hand, grinning with foolish innocence.

["Thats not true! I did it easily!"] He delcares playfully.

Aspra raises one of her hands to the sky, drawing out her power from one arm to the other.

["I've had enough of this, its time to break you!"] She exclaims, pointing a finger at him and condensing her power on a singular finger.

["You have to die!"] She screeches outwards.
