No one dared to approach because not only do these things have mysterious problems to deal with, but they are pretty much unknown to everyone.

Taking that matter into the point, the mysterious disappearances of the people as well. How come nobody saw them vanish and only been reported to be missing once they did. Those victims aren't even small numbers, yet not a single one was spotted?
