Chapter 90: Conflict! The Dying Uchiha! Fugaku's Last Gamble!

After coming up with an idea, Ishihara quickly dispelled his Wood Release clone and then used the technique again to teleport.

Konohagakure.

As Ishihara disappeared and reappeared again, Danzo had grown numb to the sight.

"Do you have the Spirit Transformation Technique?" Ishihara impatiently asked.

Danzo froze for a moment, then shook his head.

"The Spirit Transformation Technique is a secret of the Kato clan, only they possess it. However, the Kato clan has declined, and now there are only a few Chunin left in the village."

Upon hearing this, Ishihara immediately demanded, "I want the Spirit Transformation Technique!"

Danzo's face twitched slightly but nodded in agreement.

Ishihara then said, "Now hand over the Flying Thunder God Technique."

"Aren't you already capable of using space-time ninjutsu?" Danzo asked, a bit confused.

Ishihara frowned. "Stop wasting time!"

Danzo sighed and pulled out another scroll, handing it over. Ishihara opened it and confirmed it was indeed the Flying Thunder God Technique. He quickly skimmed through it.

[You have read the Flying Thunder God Technique and have mastered it.]

"As expected, the Flying Thunder God Technique is similar to my teleportation technique, leaving little room for improvement."

However, many of the methods in the Flying Thunder God Technique were still useful to him. He glanced at the anxious Danzo and said, "The Flying Thunder God Technique is already complete. There's no room for me to improve it. So, the only thing left for trade is the Impure World Reincarnation Technique."

Danzo's face flashed with anger upon hearing this, but Ishihara remained unfazed, immediately beginning to craft a legacy scroll. Once it was done, he tossed it to Danzo.

"Don't forget about the Spirit Transformation Technique. You can leave now."

Danzo took the scroll without a word and left. Despite his anger, he had no choice but to hold it in. However, before he left, he opened the scroll to confirm the Impure World Reincarnation Technique, then stepped out.

Whoosh!

As soon as Danzo exited, he was met by a large group of people rushing toward him. Leading the group was the Third Hokage, whose eyes blazed with fury as he stared at Danzo.

"Danzo, what have you done?"

Danzo's face was grim. Not only had his plan to control Ishihara with Kotoamatsukami failed, but he was also forced to hand over all the forbidden techniques in his possession. Most importantly, without Ishihara's support, he felt lacking in confidence facing the Third Hokage.

"Nothing, just a trade with Ishihara."

The Third Hokage's face turned pale, and he stepped forward, growling, "What did you trade?"

Danzo, his expression blank, replied, "The Flying Thunder God Technique and Impure World Reincarnation."

"Damn it! You even traded the Impure World Reincarnation…"

The Third Hokage roared angrily but quickly stopped himself as he noticed the looks of those around him. He then demanded sharply, "Where's the legacy scroll?!"

Danzo's face twitched, but before he could hide the scroll, the Third Hokage snatched it and opened it.

"Why is there only the Impure World Reincarnation?"

Meanwhile, as the Third Hokage and Danzo quarreled, Fugaku, who had accompanied the Hokage, overheard their conversation and his face immediately darkened. If Danzo used the Impure World Reincarnation against the Uchiha, they would be in grave danger. Fugaku immediately dashed toward Ishihara's courtyard.

"Damn it! Stop him!"

The Third Hokage's face changed drastically as he rushed to stop him. But it was too late. Fugaku had already entered the courtyard, and the Third Hokage followed right behind.

The two immediately began arguing, the tension between them palpable.

"Fugaku, I order you to leave this place at once!"

"Are you joking, Hokage? You don't have the authority here."

"Are you saying the Uchiha are openly defying my orders?"

"Hokage, don't forget, this is a personal matter!"

Ishihara frowned. "If you want to argue, take it outside. Don't disturb me here."

Fugaku and the Third Hokage both stopped, but continued glaring at each other without backing down. Just then, Danzo entered and whispered something into the Third Hokage's ear. The Third Hokage shot a deep glance at Fugaku before turning to leave.

Fugaku didn't feel much relief. If the Third Hokage was confident enough to leave, it meant he had some way of dealing with the Uchiha.

"We can't wait any longer. Go and gather all the clan members who want to awaken the Sharingan," Fugaku whispered to Inaho, who was standing beside him.

Inaho's face tensed as he quickly nodded and rushed out. Soon, the only people left in the courtyard were Fugaku and two Uchiha clansmen—Uchiha Yashiro and Hirako, one of the squad captains of the police force.

Fugaku apologized, "Mr. Ishihara, please bear with me for a moment."

Ishihara raised an eyebrow but nodded. He could tell that Fugaku was ready to make a desperate move. This was a good thing for Ishihara, as it meant more Mangekyō Sharingan could be awakened.

Soon, Inaho returned, bringing three Uchiha clansmen with him. Fugaku breathed a sigh of relief and quickly said, "These five are the ones who wish to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan."

Ishihara nodded. With five people, there should be a good chance of obtaining a copyable eye technique. Eager to proceed, he said, "Then let's begin."

The five Uchiha, both nervous and excited, quickly sat in a row. Ishihara set up a soundproof barrier and began instructing them on how to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan. Silently, he activated his genjutsu space, planting the idea that they would awaken eye techniques related to duplication.

"With my current genjutsu abilities, this should work," Ishihara thought, feeling a sense of anticipation.

Soon, the five began using the secret technique. As their life force was drained, they cried out in pain. Ishihara observed them calmly, his brows slightly furrowing.

"Only two of them seem likely to awaken the Mangekyō."

With his extensive experience, Ishihara could easily judge how many years of lifespan a person needed to sacrifice in order to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan. After calculating their ages, he quickly concluded that three of them would fail even if they died of old age.

However, Ishihara had no intention of warning them. Instead, he watched even more intently. Perhaps these failed experiments would provide valuable insights for his research.

Time slowly passed. The five Uchiha began to show changes in their appearance. Their hair lost its luster, turning gray, and their skin became loose and wrinkled. Fugaku and the others began sweating nervously, while Inaho's eyes widened in shock, too tense to breathe.

They could only watch as three of them turned completely white-haired, with age spots forming on their faces.

The Second Elder trembled as he spoke, "Are they about to die of old age?"

Fugaku shuddered, stepping forward in horror as he shouted frantically,

"Heika, Yota, Ryo, stop! Stop now!"

Inside the barrier, the three Uchiha wore grim expressions. Realizing they had no chance of success, they halted the technique. But as they looked at their aged bodies, they broke down in despair.
