Eloise sneered as she peered around, watching the ladies till she found the odd one out. Celeste.
"You're Master Lorenzo's wife," she asked sizing Celeste up.
"Eloise we talked about this" Fiona cut in with a strained smile, but Eloise ignored her walking closer to Celeste.
Celeste couldn't fathom why the angry lady was antagonizing her. She had mentioned Lorenzo...could it be she had finally met his mistress?
That would be ridiculous, since Lorenzo wouldn't bring her to a dinner party where his mistress would be present, not after the way he had looked at her earlier.
"I am Celeste Marti...no" Celeste affirmed, pausing when she realized this was the first time she was using her husband's name in public.
"So this was the special lady he talked about eh? He could have just said he was not into red hairs and liked tiny women" Eloise scoffed in apparent disgust and contempt.
