The lights of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic all lit up!
Inside the venue,
it was utterly silent.
The audience for this session was very well-behaved, refraining from shouting and making a fuss. They at least remembered this was a competition in traditional Chinese medicine, not some concert or sports event.
The voice of Tang Chengde, the honorary chairman of the Haicheng City Traditional Chinese Medicine Association, came through the broadcast.
"Now I will announce the selection rules for the first round of this preliminary needle-testing conference, which is to recognize acupoints. The 'Inner Canon' states that the human body has 365 acupoints, but 160 are actually recorded. Later, 'Acupuncture Points on Bronze Man Charts and Texts' recorded 354 acupoints. The current standard is based on the 'Acupuncture A B Classic,' authored by the founder of acupuncture, Huangfu Mi, which has established 361 international standard acupoints."
