Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: What Happened in the Past - Part 1

After a day of rest and settling in, Moore gathered Sun, Phong, and Lyra. He said:

"I have prepared a special space to immerse everyone in the story as vividly as possible. Each day after training, I will narrate a part."

They were led into an enchanting realm. As Moore began to tell the story, the surroundings gradually took on the scenes described. Then Moore narrated:

One Morning in the Floating Arena

One early morning in the floating arena, Moore was sipping tea and gazing at the vast expanse from above. The floating arena hovered among the clouds, creating a sense of both mystery and grandeur. Intricately carved stone columns, dazzling magical fountains, and expansive stands where warriors gathered for practice and combat adorned the scene.

Suddenly, a young man entered, astonished, his eyes wide as he looked around. Moore approached and asked:

"Who are you? What brings you here?"

The young man, with a strong physique and determined gaze, introduced himself:

"My name is Hugo, 17 years old. I am on a quest to improve myself and uncover the truth about what killed my parents."

Moore considered sending Hugo away but felt a strong intuition. He changed his mind and said:

"If you agree, you can stay here as my apprentice. I will help you become stronger."

Hugo nodded in agreement, his eyes showing clear determination.

Training in the Element of Fire

When Hugo began learning to control the element of fire, Moore started with basic exercises to help him get accustomed to the heat and movement of flames. During the first training session, Hugo stood in a spacious area with a still atmosphere to easily focus on sensing the heat from the fire element.

Moore guided Hugo in creating fire from the palm of his hand. First, he learned to concentrate energy within his body, feeling warmth spreading and focusing on creating small sparks. Initially, the fire was just tiny flickers and thin smoke. But Moore continuously encouraged Hugo, helping him understand that controlling the fire element required patience and constant practice.

After many intense training sessions, Hugo gradually learned to produce more powerful flames. Moore taught him to adjust the intensity and direction of the fire, helping him control the flames to not only burn brightly but also move as desired. He learned to create fire circles around himself, which helped protect him from enemy attacks and reduce damage.

Moore also taught Hugo to use fire for protection and healing. Hugo learned to create fire shields, forming a thick protective layer around himself and his allies. Moore guided him in using fire to create warmth on cold nights, warming the body and improving morale in harsh conditions.

Maintaining fire in harsh conditions was also an important part of the training. Moore had Hugo practice in challenging weather conditions like strong winds and rain. Hugo learned to stabilize the flames, using techniques to prevent the wind from extinguishing them and controlling the fire even when rain fell. This not only enhanced his fire control skills but also prepared him to face unexpected situations in the future.

Each Training session was sweat-soaked and challenging. Hugo had to battle fatigue and muscle pain, but his relentless effort gradually honed his skills. The small achievements in controlling the fire element became a significant motivation for him to continue training and strive for higher goals.

Finally, when Hugo had become proficient in controlling the fire element, Moore organized a practical test where Hugo had to face challenges and simulated situations to demonstrate his abilities. This test was not only an opportunity for Hugo to showcase his skills but also a chance to assess his progress and receive feedback from Moore.

Training in the Element of Water

Moore began by helping Hugo get acquainted with the water element through focusing on its flow. Hugo was taken to a majestic waterfall, where the sound of cascading water and the vibration of the current created an ideal training environment. Moore guided Hugo to feel the movement of the water by placing his hand on its surface, sensing its strength and flexibility. Hugo learned to coordinate his breathing and focus to create small streams of water from his palm.

Once Hugo mastered sensing the flow, Moore taught him how to shape water into different forms. He started with simple shapes like spheres and rings of water. At a frozen lake, where the water was clear and cold, Hugo practiced creating more intricate forms like water walls and water projectiles. Moore helped him understand how to adjust the pressure and intensity of the water to create tools and weapons from this element.

Moore taught Hugo to create protective water walls. Hugo practiced concentrating energy into the water and forming a thick shield around himself and his allies. In a training area simulating attacks, Hugo learned to create thick and sturdy water walls to block enemy strikes and protect against sudden attacks.

Hugo learned to control water to attack enemies from a distance. Moore taught him to generate powerful water streams, resembling large waves or strong water attacks, which could repel and stun foes. Hugo practiced creating fierce water waves and using them to strike targets from afar, improving the accuracy and effectiveness of his attacks.

Moore also taught Hugo to use water for healing wounds. Hugo learned to focus water energy to soothe injuries and provide quick recovery. He also learned to use water to quench thirst and create clean water in harsh conditions.

An important part of the training was creating sharp water blades. Hugo learned to form water blades capable of cutting through materials and opponents easily. Moore helped him adjust the sharpness and speed of the water blades to enhance the effectiveness of long-range attacks.

Moore guided Hugo in using water to control the surrounding environment. He learned to create mist to conceal himself, obscure enemy vision, and create surprises in battles. Hugo also learned to freeze water to create large ice blocks, which could be used to form obstacles or weapons in emergencies.

Training sessions were not limited to favorable environments but also included harsh conditions like storms and freezing weather. Hugo had to work hard to maintain water control in difficult situations, from adjusting water in strong winds to keeping it from freezing in cold weather.

Training in the Element of Earth

Moore started by helping Hugo get acquainted with the earth element through sensing vibrations. Hugo was taken to a vast canyon surrounded by layers of rock and soil. Moore guided him to place his hand on the ground and focus on the vibrations from beneath. Hugo learned to sense the movement of earth and rock to detect small movements like enemies approaching or changes in the surrounding environment.

Moore guided Hugo in creating small tornadoes to disrupt enemy formations. Hugo learned to concentrate wind into a single point to create a powerful vortex that could unbalance and disorient enemies. These exercises included creating and controlling tornadoes in spacious and open areas.

Another important skill was using the wind to eavesdrop on conversations from a distance. Hugo learned to adjust the wind to carry sound from afar. Moore taught him to create subtle air currents to help him hear distant sounds and conversations without being detected. Hugo practiced this skill in areas with various sound sources to improve his sound analysis abilities.

Moore taught Hugo to use the wind to deflect enemy attacks. Hugo learned to create strong air currents to block and weaken incoming strikes. Training sessions included creating wind shields and barriers to reduce damage and enhance defensive capabilities.

In addition to these techniques, Moore guided Hugo in using the wind for stealth and camouflage. Hugo learned to manipulate the air to blend with surroundings, becoming less noticeable in various environments. Training involved practicing stealth techniques in different terrains to enhance his ability to hide effectively.

Moore also helped Hugo understand how to control the wind to create illusions and mislead enemies. Hugo learned to create illusory air currents to deceive and confuse opponents. These exercises took place in areas where visual and sensory deceptions were critical for success.

Finally, Hugo underwent practical tests to showcase his control over the air element in diverse conditions. Moore created simulated situations like navigating through tornadoes, strong winds, and intense storms to evaluate Hugo's ability to handle complex air-based scenarios.

Swordsmanship Training:

Moore began teaching Hugo swordsmanship from the very basics. On the first day, he introduced the correct way to hold a sword, how to keep the blade in a defensive position, and how to move flexibly. Hugo practiced these fundamentals under Moore's careful guidance, gradually becoming accustomed to the feel of the sword in his hand.

Moore spent considerable time drilling Hugo in basic attack and defense moves. Hugo learned to perform simple techniques such as thrusts, slashes, and chops, progressively advancing to more complex maneuvers. Moore provided Hugo with simulated opponents to improve his reflexes and combat skills.

Once Hugo was comfortable with the basic techniques, Moore moved on to teaching him how to combine swordsmanship with the elements he had learned. Teleportation Training:

Moore began teaching Hugo basic teleportation. Hugo learned to focus on a specific point in space and use internal power for instantaneous movement. Moore explained that teleportation was not just a basic technique but an art requiring finesse and high control. Hugo practiced focusing and initiating teleportation at short distances, such as moving from one spot to a nearby location within the same room.

As Hugo became accustomed to short-range teleportation, Moore guided him in increasing the distance and accuracy of his teleportation. Hugo began practicing teleportation between more distant points within the same training area. Moore used markers and targets to help Hugo improve his precision. These training sessions required Hugo to refine his skill to move accurately and without error.

Moore created challenging scenarios by introducing moving obstacles in the training area. Hugo had to use his teleportation skill to avoid these obstacles and navigate complex areas quickly. These exercises helped Hugo improve his adaptability and use teleportation in realistic combat situations.

Moore taught Hugo how to use teleportation effectively for both offense and defense. Hugo practiced instantaneous movement to evade attacks and use teleportation to strike enemies from unexpected angles. He learned to teleport behind opponents for surprise attacks and to create distance when necessary

Moore set up exercises with various obstacles and barriers for Hugo to practice teleporting through them. Hugo learned to use teleportation to bypass walls, deep pits, and other obstacles without delay or error. These exercises improved his ability to teleport in practical situations and enhanced his quick reaction skills.

Moore organized advanced training sessions to help Hugo refine his teleportation skills. Hugo performed complex exercises, such as continuous teleportation between multiple points in a short time or combining teleportation with attacks and defenses. Moore assessed and provided feedback on Hugo's abilities, offering tips and techniques to improve precision and effectiveness.

Hugo applied his teleportation skills in practical combat scenarios. Moore set up combat scenarios where Hugo had to use teleportation to attack, defend, and navigate through complex battlefields. Hugo had to practice using the earth element in situations like simulated floods, earthquakes, and complex terrains. These tests helped Hugo solidify his skills and improve his ability to handle unexpected situations.

The Final Challenge

The final training day arrived, and the atmosphere in the training area was filled with anticipation and tension. Moore, with a serious and confident expression, informed Hugo about the ultimate challenge:

"I will not counterattack and will only be allowed to move within a designated area. Use every skill and technique you've learned to make me fall."

Moore had set up a special training area for this challenge, a large circular arena with various obstacles and terrains. The area included stone walls, large boulders, and dense grass fields, providing many opportunities for different strategies. Hugo stood at one end of the arena, staring at Moore, who stood in the center with a determined gaze.

Hugo began by creating large flames from his palms, firing them towards Moore. These flames not only created a distraction but also forced Moore to move to avoid getting burned.

Water: As Moore was busy with the fire, Hugo used water to create powerful streams, pushing Moore forward and adding more pressure on him.

Wind and Earth: Hugo combined sharp wind blades to attack from a distance while using earth to create large stones and earth columns, disrupting the area around Moore and hindering his movements.

Hugo utilized swordsmanship for close combat. He moved quickly, constantly changing attack directions to pressure Moore. Hugo performed powerful slashes and combined attacks with fire and water elements to enhance the strength of his strikes.

To increase attack effectiveness, Hugo employed teleportation. He appeared and vanished continuously, delivering surprise attacks from multiple angles. Hugo teleported from one position to another, keeping Moore on constant alert and forcing him to move continuously to avoid the strikes.

Moore moved agilely within the training area, attempting to evade the attacks and maintain balance. He used defensive skills and quick reflexes to block Hugo's attacks. Moore constantly maneuvered to avoid flames, water streams, and stones while countering Hugo's wind blades and swordsmanship.

After a tense period of combat, Hugo focused all his internal power into a decisive strike. He created a powerful attack by combining elemental forces and internal energy. Hugo formed a fireball combined with wind blades and launched it towards Moore while teleporting instantly to appear right behind him.

Moore struggled to maintain balance but could not withstand the combined force of this attack. The strike caused Moore to lose his balance, and he fell to the ground. Hugo stood, catching his breath, and felt a sense of satisfaction for completing the challenge.

Moore smiled and said, "Tonight we will celebrate with a feast. I'll go to the market to buy some food, and you're free to go wherever you like. By the way, I have something to say: when fighting someone in the future, you need to know their level before engaging. Otherwise, even the strongest techniques may be nullified, so judge your strength accordingly."

The Feast and the Mysterious Letter

In the evening, Moore prepared a lavish feast and waited for Hugo. When Hugo returned with a troubled expression, Moore asked:

"What happened?"

Hugo broke down in tears and recounted:

"When I returned home, Mr. Mike—the man who adopted me—was not there. I searched everywhere and found a letter. In the letter, Mr. Mike wrote that if I was reading this, he was no longer around. He warned me about a force related to Zoe, my childhood friend. He believed this force was connected to the death of my parents and urged me to stop them."

Hugo added:

"Everyone is dear to me. Who should I trust?"

Moore replied:

"I took you on as a student because I sensed a special event you are connected to." Suddenly, Moore shuddered and said, "It's here."

A floating screen appeared with an image of a man wearing glasses, saying:

"Moore, there's been an incident. Come quickly."

Moore stopped narrating and removed Sun, Phong, and Lyra from the space, ending the story for the day.
