"Cover me," I said as I moved closer to the bodies.
Sea Snake Fang stood diagonally from me, aiming his pistol at the moving body.
As I got closer, I saw that the other two bodies had their faces bitten off, with teeth marks left on whatever skin remained.
The 'body' that moved, the person's face appeared to be intact.
I got closer and saw that it was a young man wearing glasses who had a scholarly look about him.
He started to open his eyes and tried to speak.
I stopped him, pointed to my pistol and also at Sea Snake Fang's pistol, warning him not to try anything funny.
"I'll ask a question and you either nod or shake your head as the answer, do you understand?" I said.
He nodded.
"Do you have anything white-colored toads inside your stomach?"
The young man shook his head.
"Unbutton your shirt and show me."
He nodded and slowly unbuttoned his shirt.
Nothing peculiar.
