The hotel was a three-star hotel.
Nothing fancy.
One of those that was popular with tourists on a tight budget.
The room I had was at the corner, and I had to walk all the way through the long corridor.
With what I'd heard about hotels in Bangkok, it spooked the hell out of me.
The room was furnished as if it were still in the 80s.
Bed with a blanket that had a flower pattern on it.
Wooden chair that looked antique with its surface turning dark brown.
The first thing I did when I got into the room was to check under the bed.
Lucky for me, the bed extended all the way to the ground.
That's one less scary factor for sure.
The toilet, however, wasn't so great.
It had a fluorescent light that went off and came back on intermittently.
I put my backpack on the bed and went to Amy Lee's room for our meeting.
The rest of the team was there when I entered.
