Rafael descended the stairs, his footsteps echoing softly as he reached the second floor. He walked towards his room, the door unlocking with a soft click as he entered. He let out a deep sigh and collapsed onto the bed.
Pressing his palms against his flushed cheeks, he felt the warmth rising beneath his skin, his thoughts still racing.
"That was… intense," he muttered under his breath, the blush deepening. "Was he really about to actually…?"
The thought trailed off as he replayed the near-miss before Patrick had interrupted them.
"Should I be thankful to Patrick for showing up when he did, or was it terrible timing?" he mused, his head sinking into the soft sheets.
He kicked his legs playfully into the air, a gesture of helplessness, before groaning,
"I honestly have no idea what to think right now."
"But…" he trailed off again, getting up from the bed and walking toward the closet, "I do know I need to pack."
