Jaden ended the call quickly, his heart thumping and a dreadful feeling settling in the pit of his stomach. He knew he'd face Marco's wrath later.
But he had to take that away from his face as he turned to face Benjamin.
"Is something wrong?" Benjamin asked, his eyes scanning Jaden, clearly waiting for an explanation.
"Nothing's wrong, just had to talk to one of my cousins in Washington," Jaden replied, casually pressing a few keys on his phone and setting it to Do Not Disturb.
As he did, he couldn't shake the eerie feeling of someone watching him and so he looked around him and…
"Wow… good Lord!" Jaden exclaimed, dropping his phone onto the table.
Benjamin had already climbed out of bed, and was standing in front of him, dressed only in his boxers, and staring down at him.
Benjamin wasn't tall, standing just up to Jaden's shoulder, but his presence in that moment felt much larger.
