Her posture was stiff as she and her team stood before Marco, their empty hands betraying the failure of their search.
"Hmmm…" Marco's hum was barely more than a vibration in his throat, his gaze distant, mind obviously elsewhere.
'So, he purposely came just to… I'm not sure, trigger me about Rafael?' Marco's lips curled in a subtle, bitter smile. 'And then keep me in the office, which means there's something going on at home! That's why he kept me here!'
