Before Matthew could reply, the head of the management team stepped forward, momentarily blocking Matthew from view. "He's one of the newly promoted staff. Shall we move up to the conference room for the meeting?"
Marco's eyes lingered on the manager for a moment longer, a flicker of something unreadable crossing his expression.
"Hmmm..." he muttered, his gaze shifting back to Matthew before finally conceding. "Sure."
The elevator doors slid shut, and Rafael found himself sandwiched between Marco and Matthew as they ascended to Marco's office.
The silence in the confined space was palpable, and Rafael could feel the weight of both men's presence pressing in on him. His breath hitched, the proximity of their bodies rendering him momentarily breathless.
