Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

As Joanna got outside the hall, She saw Miquel's Limousine in front of her. Miquel was already seated inside, not sparing her a glance.

One of his bodyguards opened her side of the car door and she reluctantly got in before the car sped off.

The tension in the car was palpable. Even though the air condition was on, Joanna was sweating so badly.

"Take off your panties!" Miquel uttered, still not sparing her a glance.

"Wh..What!" Joanna screamed out, surprised to hear him say such words to her.

Miquel scoffed and finally pinned his icy gaze on hers. "What? Is there a problem? Aren't you my bride? Don't make me repeat myself, you will regret it!" He threatened, his eyes becoming darker.

Joanna glared at him in stunned silence, the implications of Miquel's words slowly sinking in.

She could feel her eyes watered and the heat rising in her cheeks as she fumbled with the hem of her dress, trying to discreetly remove her underwear.

The silence in the car was deafening, the only sound was the low hum of the engine and the soft rustle of fabric as Joanna complied with Miquel's demand.

As she pulled the lacy garment down her legs, Joanna's heart pounded in her chest. She had no idea what the Mafia Boss was planning, but she knew it couldn't be good.

Joanna finally managed to remove her underwear, her hands trembling as she placed them on her lap, unsure of what to do with them.

Miquel smirked, his gaze shifting to the road as the car continued to speed through the city streets.

"Good girl," he murmured, the words sending a chill through Joanna's body.

After several long moments, Miquel finally spoke again.

"Give them to me," he ordered, extending a hand towards her.

Joanna hesitated for a moment, her cheeks burning with shame, before reluctantly handing the panties to him.

Miquel took the panties from her, his fingers brushing against Joanna's trembling hand as he did so.

He examined them for a moment, a cruel smirk on his lips, before stuffing them into his jacket pocket.

"Those are mine now," he said, his voice coming out cold and dangerous.

"And if you try to take them back, or disobey me in any way, I will make you regret it." He threatened.

Joanna swallowed hard, her heart racing as Miquel turned back to face the road.

The car finally pulled up in front of a grandiose mansion, the gates opening automatically to allow them through.

Joanna felt a knot of dread forming in her stomach as she realized that this was her new home, or probably her prison.

Miquel climbed out of the car, his bodyguards following close behind, and Joanna forced herself to do the same, trying to ignore the humiliation and fear that was pulsing through her veins.

As she stood on the front steps, the massive double doors of the mansion opened, and she was faced with a butler who bowed to her and ushered her inside.

"Come with me!" Miquel's words abruptly shut the butler up from saying whatever he had wished to say to Joanna.

Joanna followed Miquel up the grand staircase, her heart pounding as she realized that he was probably leading her to his bedroom.

She could feel the weight of his gaze on her back, his silent command that she shouldn't look back or dare speak a word.

Finally, they reached the master suite, and Miquel pushed open the heavy oak door with a forceful shove.

Before Joanna could even take in her surroundings, Miquel grabbed her by the waist, his strong arms pinning her against the wall as his lips crushed against hers.

Joanna tried to push Miquel away, but he was too strong, his grip on her arms like iron as he continued to kiss her deeply, his tongue exploring her mouth with possessive hunger.

"Mine," he growled against her lips, his breath hot on her skin.

"You are mine now, Joanna. And I will have you whenever and however I please." Miquel smirked at her, loving how fragile she was in his arms.

Joanna whimpered, her body trembling with fear, her mind reeling with shock and confusion as Miquel began to rip her wedding dress from her body.

"Should I tell you why a Mafia boss got married to a weak woman like you?" Miquel asked, his breath fanning her face.

Joanna shuddered but wished to know the reason. Thus, she nodded her head repeatedly making Miquel chuckle and the next minute, his face was deadly cold.

He suddenly held onto her cheek, not minding the fact that he was hurting her and he glared into her face.

"You are paying for your father's debts! Did your father think I'd forget my money after his death? Never! Miquel Savaldor isn't such a good man." He gritted into her face.

Joanna's eyes widened in horror as the realization of her fate dawned on her.

Miquel's words echoed in her head, her father's debt, her new life as his prisoner, his words "mine" still ringing in her ears.

Her body trembled, tears stinging her eyes as she realized the truth of her situation. She had wondered why her mother was bent on getting her Married to Miguel.

'Does it mean her mother knows about her father's debt to a Mafia boss?' Joanna thought inwardly.

"Please," she whispered, her voice barely more than a breath. "Please, Miquel, I'm not my father. I didn't ask for any of this."

Miquel's face twisted into a cruel smile.

Joanna's pleas fell on deaf ears as Miquel's smile grew even more menacing.

"Your father's debt is your debt now, Joanna. And you will pay it back to me, in whatever way I see fit," he growled, his grip on her cheeks tightening.

"Now, are you going to be a good little bride, or do I have to remind you of your place?" His voice was like ice, chilling her to the bone.
