Chapter 104 - The Grey Ghost VS The Hooded Angel

As the hordes of Angels and Demons rushed across the city to find the Grey Ghost, the Hooded Angel air walked towards him.

"To defy the Will of God is to commit the gravest of sins."

"Acting as God is far worse a sin than anyone I have I could or have committed."

The Angel flashed towards him at frightening speeds, yet found out why Greater Ottawa referred to him as "The Ghost". The Grey Ghost leaped over him, leaving the cowl of Jesse Brown's Corsair, and landed flawlessly on Lemuel Curtis's Mustang. He fired off spirit Red and Blue Tail energy bursts from his two carrier arms that struck the Angel in its wings, sending it falling toward the Earth below.

"Oppenheimer, Tesla, Tibbets! You're up! Make it fast, those bursts weren't enough to kill it. Henry, Tyson, Ali, Stagolee! When I give you the signal, we make that motherfucker regret ever stealing the soul of Patricia May."

The Hooded Angel blitzed at the Grey Ghost, sword drawn ready to kill this transgressor for his sins. However, once in range, the two planes seemingly vanished and the Grey Ghost was facing him directly, right arm cocked back with as much energy as he could store inside of it.

"Tell me... Do you regret taking her soul?"

"What?" The Hooded Angel was confused to had no time to ponder the question.

"NOW!" Yelled the Ghost as his fist made contact with the Angel's head. Oppenheimer and Tibbets poured their nuclear energy into his body while Tesla fired the energy of his Death Ray into the Grey Ghost's blood vessels. As the Angel slammed through most of the downtown area, the Grey Ghost's words of "ATOMIC WITHER" seemed to echo around the city. However, the Hooded Angel found himself emerging from the ground near the docks.

"If I can't take him, I'll send him into a..." The Hooded Angel was cut off by Voodoo Chains wrapping around his angelic body and flinging him away from the escaping Ottawans.

"Oh, I don't think so." Growled the Grey Ghost, "You've taken enough souls and good people from me. You want them, you're only gonna have to get through me... All vestiges... Venator's Rage... if you'd all be so kind."

As the Grey Ghost said this, red, white, and blue energy shot through his body, combination x was injected into his neck and the noradrenaline gas was pumping into his lungs. "You so... you pathetic excuse of a creature, for me friends, family, and those I so deem worthy of my protection, I'd fight God... no matter the fucking cost. YOU HEAR ME!?"

The Hooded Angel stood up, glaring at the Grey Ghost with violent intensity. "If Patricia May could see you, she..."

The Angel was stopped midsentence by the Grey Ghost's hand around his throat. "NEVER SAY HER NAME! YOU UNWORTHY FUCK!" The Grey Ghost smacked the Angel backward with John Henry's sledgehammers. "All vestiges, belay that last ability. I want the ability we discussed before fighting Rothschild.

"Child no!" Said Mammy. She and Amelia Earhart had firmly opposed their secret inner conversation but were outvoted. As the two vestiges sighed, they joined in reluctantly to aid the Grey Ghost in his endeavor. The Hooded Angel stood up to see the Grey Ghost piling on more and more ability, forcing his body into limiter overdrive.

"R-Running full system d-d-diagnosis... Body limits reached... OVERRIDING... successful! American Overkill Engaged." The Grey Ghost was covered in the parts from certain American legacy aircraft, cars, and trains, all of it was armor for himself. His raw willpower energy was powering his new armor as if it were an extremely armored layer of skin around him.

Archie, Nolan, Mike, Sam, and Dr. Sue all watched this transformation, shocked he'd kept it hidden from them for so long. The Grey Ghost slammed his foot down toward the Hooded Angel and pointed a metallic, armored finger at him.

"Hear my words, Angel of Heaven. I am going to make sure you regret ever laying a disgusting finger on my Grandma's soul. YOU WILL REGRET FACING ME!" He lunged at the Angel using the engines of the SR-71 Blackbird and skating along with Casey Jones's train wheels to seemingly glide across the ground as he pursued the Angel. The Angel raced across town with the Grey Ghost hot on his heels. He began to fly towards the Heavenly Throne hoping the Grey Ghost was too heavy to get off the ground. However...

"Oh goodness of God... America was the first country..."

"And only country to set foot on our moon!" Yelled the Grey Ghost as he grabbed the Angel by the wings. Using his rockets he got all of Heaven's attention as they watched as he ripped the Angel's wings off and plunged his fist through its chest. He leaned over the Angel's shoulder and whispered something in his ear. "Now Patricia May can rest knowing her angelic thief has been slaughtered. The Grey Ghost ripped the Angel into pieces as golden blood soaked the Overkill armor.

He turned his sights on heaven with a soul-chilling glare. However, before he could rush toward heaven, he heard a soft scream from the docks. With a flipping turn, the Grey Ghost rushed to aid them. Demons had been harassing those trying to escape and the Devil himself had turned to aid them. However, the demons suddenly backed away from his side as golden blood started to drip down his face.

"What in the goddamn..." His eyes slowly look up to see the grey Ghost hovering above him, growling through his breath.

"Back... away from them... NOW!" Ordered the Grey Ghost, his eyes zeroed in on the Devil's eyes.

"You know, I can grant you anything you so..."

"Save the speech for someone who gives a fuck, you pompous, arrogant, piece of shit."

The Demon known as Molech stepped in front of his lord. "How dare you!"

"How dare I? HOW DARE I!" The Grey Ghost's anger was becoming insanity as squeezed the demon's neck, crushed it then curb-stomping his head in. "Be gone, Prince of Darkness. For I am the Grey Ghost of Ottawa... and you're on my turf.

The Devil cracked his neck. "It's been a few centuries since we worked together... aye Father?"

God stood beside him. "Considering that I underestimated humanity and their... tenacity... I'd say it's warranted."
