The next week was all about adjustments. Andrew had to adjust to the fact that Maxwell really didn't want him leaving the house, and to what his new life meant.
Maxwell wouldn't let him even consider going out to work, even if it was just in a grocery store or something, and Andrew had no idea why. He felt fine, he felt normal. If anything, he was thriving.
Maxwell's kitchen had looked unused before Andrew had moved in. All new appliances, all new tools. There were things here that Andrew had no idea what they were, but he'd spent the week getting to know everything.
It was clear that Maxwell hadn't stocked the kitchen, and the person who had also had no idea what went in a kitchen. They had just pressed order all and everything had arrived and was put away. It gave Andrew something to do in the week that Maxwell had basically secluded him.
