Andrew gulped, turning to look at the man behind him. His throat worked as Maxwell stared up at him, a devious, knowing grin on his face.
"Did you think I was an idiot?" He demanded, and Andrew closed his eyes.
"N-No, I didn't think that at all!' He said, and Maxwell's smile fell.
"Then why were you trying to hide it for me? There's no way you could have. You've grown almost another full foot in height, Andrew. And you've gotten broader. I'm not the one who needs glasses between the two of us." Andrew bit his lip, embarrassed, nervous, and shame filling him.
It was clear that Maxwell was upset with him, and Andrew understood why. As partners, they shouldn't keep things from each other. That much was obvious. But Andrew just…
"I just…I just wanted everything to feel normal before it had to change again." He admitted quietly. Maxwell exhaled quietly, before he attacked Andrew, wrapping the man in his arms and squeezing him as tightly as he could.
