Wu Jinmai's POV
I was stunned after I heard what happened on his way here in my residence. I feel bad for Lady Zhang, but at the same time, I feel a little relieved.
"I guess fate made its move. I was actually afraid of whatever antics she would do after she learned of my pregnancy. I know she will react violently about this," I whispered.
I place my hand on my belly. I look at Shanguan Zu Jin.
"You didn't believe her, right? You didn't have doubt about this baby, right?" I mumbled under my breath.
He held my palm and interlocked our fingers. He kissed the back of my palm.
"Why would I? Have you forgotten what I said yesterday? I knew the baby was mine," my husband says.
I smiled. I held his hand and looked at him with admiration. "I know you will believe in me. This baby is yours alone. I never and would never sleep with other men except you," I whispered.
