After my wife explained her proposal to Yang Hua, they went back to Pei Qin's chamber.
My wife was busy reading the book that the royal consort gave her. I coughed, and she looked at me.
"Is there any problem that you want to discuss, my love?" she asked. I was taken aback by how sweet she said those words.
"I have to leave the palace now. I need to speak with Zhang Yi and Wei Zhao. I will drop by Li Jin's chamber and tell him that we need to speak with the fathers of the ladies that we are supposed to marry," I utter.
My wife understands the reason behind this. She stood up and held my palm.
