Shanguan Zu Jin's POV
I learned that Zhang Yihua leaves the palace at dawn. She locked herself for a day, and then this morning she left.
They said she didn't check on me or even ask about me. I decided to check her chamber while she was not home.
I told my servants to get her attention if she arrived while I was still in her chamber.
"Stay here and give me a warning if you hear a commotion in the garden," I stated.
Xu Jiaxu nodded. I grab a wire and my handkerchief. I open the lock and get inside her room.
I start opening the cabinet and searching for whatever I might find. I know this doesn't seem right, but a part of me wants to search for something that I didn't know.
Upon searching for a period of time, I notice something on the floor. I heard a creaking sound after stepping to this side.
I crouch down and knock on the wood. "This is it..." I whispered. I used my pocket dagger to lift the wood.
