Su Ming Xi's POV
I didn't expect that the empress would ask me that kind of question. I don't know what I should answer or how I should respond to that.
I poured wine into my cup and drank it. "I do trust you, your highness. But I'm still keeping my guard up. I won't be sorry for telling you this, but I'll turn my back on you if you go back to the person that you've been," I replied.
She chuckled and put fish meat in my bowl. "Don't be nervous. I know the answer. I'm just messing you around. But... thank you. That means a lot to me," she says, smiling widely.
I grab my bowl and eat the fish meat that she gave to me.
'Something is wrong with me. Why do I find her beautiful when she smiles? No. Don't be silly, Su Ming Xi!'
"I will ask for an audience after I speak with that officer. I'll tell you the updates. Let's hope that he remembers the important things," I whispered.
