Wu Jinmai's POV
I look at the sky again and enjoy the beauty of the fireworks display. The heaviness in my heart had disappeared.
I missed them. I've been hiding for weeks, and it's exhausting. I shouldn't hide from them, even if it will be awkward between me and Shanguan Zu Jin.
After that fireworks display, we had a short tea in the garden. They talk about normal things without dragging politics on the table, which is good.
After we had a tea, we sent them off. We're standing in front of the gate, bidding our farewell to them. We watch their carriages leave one by one.
The Shanguan family was the last one who was waiting for their carriage to come. Lady Wei and Lady Zhang bow their heads.
"We'll go back in our chambers first, Your Highness," Lady Zhang says.
