Chapter 2 - 2. Death soilder

Cartagena, Colombia

Hades, a mixed-race man of Latin American descent with an asian father and Colombian mother, found himself alone after a car accident three months ago.

However, to be precise, his entire family had perished. Hades was actually a time traveler from X Country, originally named Sam. He was once an ordinary man who loved military affairs.

Reborn in Colombia—a country rampant with crime, drug dealers, and violence—Sam, now Hades, was terrified.

Fortunately, he had a secret weapon: the "Arms Dealer" system. This system allowed him to become an arms trader, providing access to a vast array of weapons, from small bullets to large aircraft carriers, without any restrictions. As long as he had the money, he could buy anything.

The system also had another feature: the ability to recruit death soldiers. As an arms dealer constantly facing danger, having strong security was essential.

The system allowed him to choose the race and profession of these soldiers, from ordinary troops to special forces.

With the help of the "Arms Dealer" system, Hades started his arms trafficking business. Over the past three months, he had made nearly ten deals, though mostly small ones.

His clients were usually minor buyers purchasing a couple of pistols, with few requesting assault rifles.

The major players, like the Columbus and Medellin Cartels, already had established arms channels and wouldn't buy from small dealers like him. These cartels had massive arsenals, including armed helicopters, rocket launchers, and armored vehicles.

Despite his small-scale operations, Hades was confident that he would eventually attract the attention of these powerful cartels.

Leaving the bar, Hades first deposited the money into a future account before returning to his modest home in Cartagena. He closed the door and settled on the living room sofa, opening the system interface.

"System, recharge $30,000."

"Ding, recharging...3...2...1. Recharge successful."

Luis watched as his system account balance rose to $87,800, of which $57,800 was what he had earned over the past few months.

The system sold Colt 70 pistols for $100 each, while the market price ranged from $350 to $800, depending on the region and quality.

In places where arms were scarce or heavily regulated, prices soared. In chaotic Colombia, however, the market was saturated with guns, driving prices down.

Hades sold each pistol for $500, making a $400 profit per gun. Bullets were similarly profitable, sold at $100 per hundred rounds while costing him only $10.

Looking at the AK-47s, which the system priced at $90 each, he knew they were a bargain compared to pistols.

Instead of rushing to buy more guns, Hades navigated to the death soldier summoning panel.

In such a dangerous country, personal safety was paramount. He decided to strengthen his security before his next transaction.

Ordinary death soldiers cost $1,000 each, while trained soldiers cost $2,000. Special forces were priced at $5,000. Excluding ordinary soldiers, Hades chose to recruit special forces, prioritizing quality over quantity.

"System, recruit six special forces soldiers. Choose Latin Americans as the race. Equip each with a Beretta 92F pistol, three magazines, and 600 rounds of ammunition."

"Ding, recruitment successful, material purchase successful, $30,700 deducted."

"Ding, materialize death soldiers and materials immediately?"

A flash of light appeared before him, and the next second, six muscular Latin American men stood in front of him, along with a supply bag on the coffee table.

"We greet the master" they greeted in unison.

Hades smiled, pleased. "Just call me boss from now on."

"Yes, boss!" they replied.

Hades, satisfied, stood up and opened the supply bag, distributing the Beretta 92F pistols and ammunition. The men handled the weapons skillfully.

"Good gun," one of them remarked.

Hades glanced at him. The system helpfully displayed names above the soldiers' heads. The speaker's name was Elro.

"Your name is Elro?"

"Yes, boss."

"From today, you're their leader. Your job is to protect me."

The reason why he appointed Elro as the captain of the bodyguards was because he saw that among the abilities given to him by the system, there was one aspect of command, and the others were a little lacking.

Elro, momentarily surprised, quickly nodded in agreement. The rest of the people were calm. Loyalty was engraved in their bones

Hades' words were law, and they would obey without question, even if it meant sacrificing their lives.
