Maverick's pen stopped mid-word as he heard a rustle behind him. He glanced over his shoulder to see Wolfgang stirring groggily on the bed.
Wolfgang blinked, then his brows furrowed as he took in his surroundings.
"Captain?" he muttered, his voice hoarse. His gaze shifted to Maverick, who was calmly seated at the table
Maverick turned with a faint smile. "You're awake? Good."
Wolfgang shifted, then stilled as he noticed something holding him down. His eyes widened in alarm as he looked down and saw the ropes securing his arms and legs.
"Why am I tied up, Captain?" he asked, his voice tinged with both confusion and pleading.
Maverick chuckled softly, setting his memo book aside. Rising to his feet, he approached the bed and began untying the knots.
