Julius, sitting cross-armed, tapped his foot impatiently before finally speaking. "So, what should we do about him?"
Maverick raised an eyebrow and said, "It's not just him, Julius. You too."
Without thinking, Julius wrapped his arms around Maverick's shoulders, locking eyes with him. "I'm under control as long as I'm with you."
Wolfgang blinked, watching their close interaction in silence, unsure what to say.
Maverick cleared his throat, gently pushing Julius's face away. "I'm suggesting a little practice for both of you. We'll use the vampire we caught last night."
Wolfgang nodded in agreement, but Julius immediately replied, "I'm good. You can use Wolfgang for the test."
Maverick glanced at him, noticing the calmness in Julius that hadn't been there when they first met. "Fine, if that's how you feel. Let's head to the armory now."
Maverick stood up, and Julius followed. As they left the tent, Julius asked, "But why the armory?"
