I could hear the sound of birds chirping and dried leaves disentangling from their branches, but they felt far away. My eyes also felt heavy, and they fluttered weakly as I tried to open them, but it felt like I was blinded.
"Does something bind me," I thought, panic rushing through my veins as I considered the possibility. However, I could not feel my wolf powers. I smelt the air, and I knew I was still in the woods.
"Ahh," I groaned. Finally, prying my eyes open. Wincing quietly from pains that weaved through my entire body like a web. I quickly snapped them shut as the light rays from the sun threatened to blind them. I was sitting shirtless on the bare floor of the woods. My back is resting on a felled tree.
"You're awake." I heard a voice sound inches from my face as my eyes tried to get acquainted with the sunlight.
"Merideth?" I groaned.
