Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: The Dinner Party

Ji En rummaged through the closets to choose an evening dress for Ji Aier, leaving her at a loss and looking on, not knowing exactly what he was doing.

"This one is nice!" Ji En said, looking at this pale pink short evening dress. This was a gift that Madam Ji brought back for Ji Aier from France last year, and she had been keeping it.

"I don't need to dress so formally!" Ji Aier originally wanted to say "so grandly" but changed her words at the last moment. The Ji family was introducing a girl to Ji En, not finding a future in-law for her. She shouldn't need to dress like this. It would make her very uncomfortable, as if a turkey insisted on putting on a crown and pretending to be a peacock.

"I don't want to go downstairs with an ugly monster." Ji En still said it directly. "Wherever I go later, you follow. I don't allow you to speak, and you are not allowed to open your mouth. Did you hear that?" Ji Aier felt that Ji En was talking to a pet dog.

But she still nodded, took the dress, and went in to change.

When Ji Aier came out, Ji En fiddled with her hair and said something to her. Ji Aier didn't understand what this sentence meant because it didn't sound like Chinese or English. Maybe it was French. Madam Ji could speak five languages, and French was the language she often used to communicate with Ji En.

Nearing eight o'clock, Ji Aier and Ji En went downstairs after the butler passed on the message several times.

"Xiao En, come here." It was Master Ji calling him.

"Daddy!" Ji En pulled Ji Aier and walked over. She saw that the dazzling girl beside the VIP was - Ouyang Xue. Ji Aier didn't understand why Ouyang Xue was here. At this moment, she was also glaring at her.

"Tianlin, this is my son, Ji En. Xiao En, quickly call Uncle Ouyang." Master Ji introduced. Ji Aier looked at this vigorous middle-aged man. His sharp eyes were the first impression he gave Ji Aier. Ji Aier habitually hid behind Ji En.

Ji En didn't greet.

"Heroes have emerged from youth since ancient times! Truly a young talent with an extraordinary temperament. Brother Ji, you are blessed!" This middle-aged man named Ouyang Tianlin broke the awkward silence and said with a smile to Master Ji.

"Not at all, not at all." Master Ji said modestly. "You are the one who is blessed to have given birth to a daughter like Xiaoxue, who is both well-behaved and sensible."

"Xiaoxue should be in the same school as Xiao En, right?" Madam Ji asked with a smile.

"She was my ex-girlfriend." Ji En glanced at Ouyang Xue and said. He wasn't at all evasive about letting the parents know that they had dated. But he deliberately didn't give the other party face, so he intentionally added "ex-" before girlfriend. That meant she was in the past.

"You!" Ouyang Xue was so angry that she wanted to stomp her feet, but because there were elders present.

"So you are quite familiar." Master Ji said with a smile. "That's even better. We parents don't need to introduce. Whether it's an ex or current girlfriend, Xiaoxue will be a member of our Ji family from now on." Master Ji said, glancing at Ji Aier without a trace. That look made her feel unfathomable.

"Whether she will be a member of the Ji family in the future, I don't know. It depends on what Mommy means." Ji En blurted out such a sentence. Ji Aier immediately realized what he was going to say next, so she pulled his hand to signal him not to talk nonsense.

"Of course, your Mommy has no objections!" Master Ji said with a smile.

"If Mommy has no objections, of course, I don't mind having one more young stepmother!" Ji En's words stunned everyone.

By the time they came to their senses, Ji En had already pulled Ji Aier out of the living room, and then they heard Master Ji's roar from behind, but Ji En was indifferent.
