Two days had passed since Prince Harry's birthday party. Victoria sat by herself at the big mahogany table chair in the drawing room. She had sipped almost three cups of green tea, still waiting, still wondering, and still forcing her eyes not to tear.
Prince Harry had not even once come to visit. She waited for him after their kiss. She waited for him to come out of that very room and into the crowd, and finally say his goodbyes. But he never did. He did not even come out, not even as a shadowy figure to show that he wanted to see her at last. Nothing!
