Intimidation or whatever had conspired between Prince Harry and Edward, there was still a heavy question mark on the matter. The food was rich—a thick, well-prepared salmon soup, and nicely cooked cabbages, accompanied by a throat-clenching wine. Harry never trusted himself drunk, so he chose not to dare drink, as the rest drained their glasses, mourning how perfect the wine was. He kept his composure, and worse, even Victoria had been poured a drink by Christian. Andrew, though respectful, was drinking gluttonously—huge gulps of the drink, his throat working hard to keep up with the hastiness of the liquid going down.
