This is the second time I'm writing this chapter.
Inkstone deleted 800 words and made me want to commit sudoku.
__________
3rd P.O.V.
Before Toji went to clash with Takeshi, he ate the inventory curse to keep it from harm.
Similarly to how curses functioned in his old world, the inventory curse could heal itself if given enough time.
Curses, in general, could heal from pretty much any injury if they have enough cursed energy and don't get obliterated before they have the time to regenerate.
The inventory curse is a grade three curse, making his regeneration among the slowest.
It has an extremely useful ability but is ultimately weak in every other aspect.
Even a fly head was physically relative to the inventory curse if you didn't consider the near-infinite space inside.
Toji could still use the inventory curse in its current condition, but if Takeshi gets another clean hit on it, he can say goodbye to his hidden inventory.
So, if Takeshi wanted the inventory curse, he would have to rip it out of Toji's dead body.
*BAM*
Takeshi and Toji clashed their right forearms with wide smiles on their faces.
Toji swung the split-soul katana in his left hand, aiming to cleave Takeshi in two. However, Toji's eyes narrowed when Takeshi's smile turned into a slight smirk.
After the blade connected, it slashed his shirt but didn't pierce his skin.
*BAM*
Toji, being wide open from his failed attack, received a kick to the stomach.
After rolling for a few meters, Toji shot up and looked Takeshi in the eyes with a neutral face.
He was analyzing him, figuring out how to kill this freak.
His left eye twitched when he felt the injury on his stomach. It was no hollow purple, but it didn't tickle.
Takeshi spread out his arms. "Come on, 115, I thought you would've been better than this!"
Toji ignored the taunt and looked over at Takeshi. 'A hardened body, fast, and can hide his presence. If cuts and slicing don't work, I'll need to approach this from a different angle.'
Toji could usually gauge how strong someone was based on how they composed themselves, moved, and acted.
He couldn't do it with Takeshi.
Takeshi could hide how strong he was by keeping his body language minimal and loose.
It wasn't the cliche, 'He's too strong! His power level can't be read!'
Instead, it was like he was looking in a mirror.
Toji had a slight smile as he thought to himself. 'He's just like me.'
The only person who could do something like that was him, and now he found someone else who carried the air of a heavenly restriction user.
Takeshi cracked his neck. "It seems like you figured it out."
Toji kept a neutral face. "Figured out what?"
A malicious smile appeared on Takeshi's face. "Notice how...similar we are?"
Toji unconsciously raised an eyebrow. 'Ah, he's one of THOSE people.'
He is suddenly reminded of Kanaguri, or as Toji knows him, movie freak.
Toji shook his head. 'Nah, he's not that bad.'
He gave Takeshi a deadpan expression. "Do you always yap when fighting someone?"
Takeshi shrugged at Toji's words. "I guess I'm a talker."
While Takeshi was talking, Toji was sorting through his thoughts. 'Normal attacks most likely won't put him down quickly. I'd rather this not take too long.'
He was letting Takeshi ramble so that he could think of multiple plans. One plan stood out to him, but he didn't like it because it was disgusting.
Cutting attacks wouldn't work, so he had to switch it to something different.
Something more physical.
If he can't cut him, break him.
*clank*
He dropped the split-soul katana on the ground since he didn't feel like shoving a katana down his throat.
*bam*
Toji hit his own stomach with a fist. 'This damn curse.'
The inventory curse was still inside his stomach, but that didn't mean it didn't function.
*bleh*
At an almost instantaneous speed, part of the curse's head exited Toji's mouth, spitting out a new tool that Toji hadn't used much during his time here.
To anyone except Toji, it would look like a standard three-sectioned red staff.
As fast as the curse appeared, it was as fast as it disappeared.
Takeshi held his mouth and looked at Toji in disgust. "What the hell..."
Toji wiped his mouth and smirked.
...
Playful Cloud: Special Grade Cursed Tool.
...
Playful Cloud is a red three-sectioned staff that, for a special grade cursed tool, had no technique imbued within.
Instead of a technique, it has an immense amount of cursed energy, making it more powerful based on the user's physical abilities.
The problem was that there was no cursed energy here.
Toji noted that his cursed tools felt 'empty' when he first used them after waking up.
However, the weapons themselves kept their quality and attack power.
For example, the split-soul katana lacks its soul manipulation properties but still has the same quality.
The same quality that came out unscathed even when hit by a weakened casual Sukuna dismantle with twenty fingers' worth of power.
It was as if the tools were still strengthened with cursed energy even after he woke up, similar to how the inventory curse worked.
They are fundamentally similar but different in a few aspects.
The difference with Playful Cloud was that it had no technique that would be removed, making it the strongest cursed tool in his arsenal.
He originally considered getting rid of his old tools since they would lose effectiveness without their technique, but they were really strong.
Damn strong compared to everything he encountered so far.
He hadn't tossed out the inverted spear of heaven, the split-soul katana, or any other tools he held because the durability, cutting power, and attack power surpassed any blade or weapon in this new world.
Toji was most disappointed with The Chain of a Thousand Miles since it could only extend to two hundred meters, but it was more than enough since he now had a sniper rifle.
Even so, his basic daggers, like the one used in the fight against Tenkyu and the one that stabbed Gojo in the head, were only beaten by Takamura's katana.
However, he wasn't satisfied with his previous arsenal.
Toji was extremely cautious, so he gained many other tools and weapons to battle the unknown situations he would encounter.
Takeshi put his pointer finger on his chin and spoke his thoughts. "That's indeed interesting. I knew the worm baby stored your weapons, but seeing it in person is gross."
Toji smirked as he swung Playful Cloud to his right, creating a massive dust storm. "Congratulations, you're one of the only people who have genuinely pissed me off. So, I'm going to go all out and beat the shit out of you."
The atmosphere shifted around Toji as his eyes became white, and a maniacal smile appeared.
Takeshi unconsciously took a step back and started sweating. 'What is this feeling?'
He thought he was a monster, not knowing the true monster was the man before him.
In front of him wasn't Toji Fushiguro.
It wasn't experiment 115.
It was someone else.
...
It was Toji Zenin, the Sorcerer Killer.
