Aleks stayed inside the office, he was frightened to go outside and meet the public.
There was a long line of people awaiting his presence.
"Geez, I'm glad the old geezer retired, but is the new guy okay?"
"He must have lots of paperwork to finish. I bet the old man rushed off and was direlect in his duties!"
"Ah, I heard he was handsome and has the aura of a hero!"
Aleks didn't hear these conversations, light magic was special in the way it didn't conform to the original idea of "light" but instead was closely connect to the origin as in the Big Bang that caused the universe to expand!
Unfortunately there was no Rank 1: Super Hearing, but there was a Rank 2: Lightwave Sounds.
Aleks spent most of his time shoving papers off the desk and into the fireplace. If anything went wrong he could just blame the old guy.
"That's how things work on Earth. Didn't know you were late for work? Blame it on the guy who trained you!"
Aleks was more interested in the magic he was able to use, so far he had used Rank 1: Bubble thoughts (this is placed in the light class because it was the first trait humans had that separated them from chimps! It deserved to be in light as light was like the mother of all things and wished for all creatures to be seperate and unique).
He used reverse but that was an innate class power, it was in the light class because the system said. There wasn't much of a description of it.
"Maybe the creator of the light class liked a certain card game on Earth?"
Aleks strained his brows as he let his newfound information of magic come to his brain.
There was a few other Rank 1 light magic spells he had yet to use:
Flash - this is a movement spell!
Blind - produces a large light to temporarily disable vision.
Heat Wave - high condense light wave that can pierce objects and targets.
Most interesting was the spell Gravity, this spell uses a large amount of light to replicate the effects of gravity.
It works in the same manner that a sun does, as a sun or star is a large mass of burning elements, the light that Aleks is able to use is the biproduct of it.
The light had an origin coming from these large objects and naturally can mimic them, as long as there is enough energy to give it form.
Rank 1: Gravity condenses light, absorbs the surrounding elements, super heats them and condenses into a small golf ball.
Aleks read this description and knew that this would be a killer move!
He also worried about his attack variation, he only had one true attack power!
Rank 1: Heat Wave
And the Rank 1: Gravity would take too much energy from his body.
Aleks had yet to experience fatigue but when he used his first rank 1 spell bubble thoughts he felt his body loose energy.
This didn't happen when he used reverse!
Reverse was an innate skill, so Aleks might have to rely on this for the short term.
While Aleks was deep in thought about his battle strategies and how to manipulate them, a knock on his door came.
*knock
*knock
Aleks focused his gaze and stood up.
There was a window on the side of the building that looked out.
He placed his hands behind his back and sternly spoke: "come."
A female of average height, walked in.
"Good morning your majesty the dean!"
She bowed and waited for Aleks to respond so she could raise her head and continue her business.
Aleks waited.
He saw something that distracted him for a moment.
This woman had a great figure!
When she bowed down, two large mountains were squished and held upside down!
Aleks smirked and nodded in satisfaction: "Yes."
The female took this as though she could get up from her bow and talk to Aleks.
He noticed that she wore the same purple royal robes he wore, with an embroidery on the left mountain 'Instructor'.
He figure was not noticeable from the robe as it was very loose, but since it was tighed at the waist, Aleks was able to see her curvy appearance.
He also noticed her long blond hair that brushed below her shoulders.
Her blue eyes and thin nose.
Aleks was looking at her eyes and once again nodded as he smirked.
The female instructor took this as her chance to speak.
"Noble sir, I am madam Alwynn. I can to ask about the four academy battles. I don't know if the great retired dean was able to tell you that the deadline is coming soon. This year we are holding it at home and we have yet to do anything!"
Aleks didn't immediately reply.
He didn't expect to be given such meaningless work so soon!
"I'm supposed to take this kind of work now? How am I going to get stronger? What about the ladies and the…
Right the world origin…
Hmph…"
Aleks finished his thoughts and smoothened out his lips.
Alwynn thought Aleks was going to make a decision and from the look of his face it seemed like a very important one!
"Alwynn. Why are you here?" He said in a monotone voice.
"I'm sorry sir?" Alwynn tilted her head trying to see if she misunderstood.
"Why are you here?" Aleks said again.
The expressionless face that Aleks had gave Alwynn the pressure of being looked down on, the aura that Aleks had was noble and these two things together made her feel like she was only an ant in his eyes!
She muttered and swallowed the air.
Aleks had yet to reply but let his cool character make the decision while he was off doing some thinking with the rest of his brain power.
He raised his hand and used his finger to tell Alwynn to get closer.
"Alwynn, why are you here?"
The closer she got the more she felt his noble aura. Her knees went weak and she started to perspire.
"I'm here to help you good sir!" She yelled out in a loud voice that lost its intensity. She was at her last breath as if the aura Aleks exuded was suffocating her.
"Yes."
"Then leave."
Aleks was direct and gave her the best answer he could find for this problem about the four academies.
He didn't need to do the work now that he was dean!
What's the point of having people underneath if they don't sweat and work their hardest for me?
Well, she does have a pretty face…
Aleks was thinking about this Alwynn person when she about to open the door to leave.
"Alwynn, brew me tea." He said in a calm voice, a stark contrast to his usual stern expression.
This caught the female off guard.
"Yes your majesty I will bring you the best available in all the lands!" She hurried out the door and ran down the stairs bumping into the long line of people waiting their turn.
"Geez you think it went well in there for her?"
"Why is she running so fast?"
The people had a mix of thoughts as they saw Alwynn run to get Aleks tea.
"Isn't she usually slow and well kept?"
"Well it's my turn to talk to the new dean, got lots of work that needs to be done!" The figure closest to the door said
This time because the door was closed rather slowly, Aleks was able to see the large line of people outside.
"Ugh, can't they leave me alone? I'm not really the dean you morons!"
Aleks sighed but eventually said: "come."
The next person to see Aleks was a male, he bowed and Aleks rolled his eyes.
"Yes?" Aleks said as he returned his figure to the window to look cool.
"Good sir I am here to talk about academic rewards for the students."
The male figure was young, his body was average in height and average in build.
He was after all a scholar that poised his attention on his books rather than his muscles.
He had short black hair and round glasses.
Aleks turned his head towards this person: "name?"
The man had yet to give his name!
"I'm sorry good sir, I am instructor Heids!"
Aleks nodded and returned his gaze back to the window.
He was looking at the students running around from lecture to lecture and saw a few love birds in the midst of running from the spotlight to find a secluded area.
"I will say this once." Aleks said.
"Do it yourself."
"Tell them." He pointed outside the door towards the long line of people.
Heids nodded and bowed as he walked through the door and gave everyone his command.
Aleks nodded in satisfaction and looked through the window to see if those two lovebirds found what they were looking for.
